Mentor error: Unable to accept mentor certification at this time (please help)

hey i have this problem with becoming a mentor,
i went to the smith and everything accepted the rules then in the end it show the error message in red (Unable to accept mentor certification at this time)
i have completed all the achievements needed i have checked my info status i have asked all the smiths for it i have asked mentors for it , i wasn't a mentor before that , i'm not a new adventurer , i tried yesterday and today it doesn't seem like waiting will help me with anything , well i'm not used to the forum but hopefully i'll get my problem solved here

There's not much direct assistance we can offer. But:

- Double check each requirement on https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...b5a39c/#mentor (Yeah, you mention you did, but just to be extra sure go over it with a fine-toothed comb)
-- Note that it's very possible to not have done 1000 dungeons, even if you have 3 jobs at max level, 300 commendations, etc.
-- Also note that if you've ever been suspended, you might not be eligible to become a mentor.

Also make sure that you have completed the level 70 job quests for each of your level 70s. I have heard, in the past, that people have been unable to accept mentorship because they have not completed their job quests up to level 70 for some of their jobs.

I’m guessing because the game bases it off of your achievements—e.g., there are achievements for the 300 commendations, and for the 1,000 dungeons/trials/raids, just as there are achievements for getting each of your jobs to level 70 and completing their job quests. (I’m not referring to the generic “Achieve level 70 archer” quest, but the ones specific to BRD, for example.)

I believe the job DoW/M requirements are still lvl 60, (so one each of a tank, healer and dps all done), as well as the instances and commendations as mentioned above. I can only guess that OP is still missing something preventing them from unlocking mentorship.

Are they? I heard that they were increased to level 70 when Stormblood dropped, but I could be wrong. I came into the expansion with mentor status, and have not sought it on any other character.

Same, although I think the only requirements that constantly get updated are the Mentor Roulette ones, for obvious reasons. It could be that's where the confusion is? Mentorship is technically HW content, as you could still be a mentor there even if you did not own/register SB. No idea about the crafting requirements though, maybe they were changed to 70 or are still 60.

The battle classes are at least still at 60. I think Kurando is correct in that the roulette is the only thing that got bumped to 70 as that will toss you into anything short of Savage and Ultimate.
