Not quite the whole game, but all the patches that we previously had to download through the launcher.

They warned us a week ago that we were going to have to do it - and were able to pre-download it over the past few days. It's been in the news article about the changeover that were posted on the launcher page, and I think in the pop-up alert after logging in as well.

The patches have been downloaded in the background and were installed today. The issue is it says we need to update to the latest version when we try to log into our characters, yet we have the latest version apparently downloaded/installed.

What you are referring to i already had pre-downloaded and it auto-installed itself this morning. There is no patches for me to download i even did checks like 3 times. So either we had to reinstall the whole game as well or there's a serious problem with this patch.

Exactly. And while SE did leave us a guide it was a page long and complicated as all hell, They couldn't simply say something like "please re-install the game as well as do the patch" (if that's what we needed to do i don't even know because of their complicated page long way of guiding us through it which ends up being counter-productive in the first place.)

I see people over on reddit saying this is an issue with people on the chaos data-center only and if we try others it should work. I am testing that rumor now, if it's true then its SE's screw up not mine.

I have confirmed it is just with the chaos data-center, because i just tried aether and i got in just fine.........which sucks since my main is on chaos.

It appears to be a problem on Chaos. I can log onto primal and the japanese ones just fine. When logging into chaos, I get this error.

Well At least with it being a whole data-center they better notice it asap and fix it asap or half the ps4 EU players wont be able to play. What's funny is SE announcing that the maintenance for this was done early........part of me wonders if they just throw in the code without double checking anything and then just go take a smoke lol. I would rather them take their time and triple check and debug like no tomorrow than rush things and screw it all up only to have to do another maintenance later as well as piss off a lot of players xD

That is just utterly weird a specific data centre is giving a patching error. I can only assume they forgot to apply an update to that specific data centre.
