    Pagos Accessibility

Having missed the initial rush in Pagos (I'll be honest, I wasn't looking forward to giving myself carpal tunnel), I now find myself in a curious situation.

The brunt of players within seem to average between 28 and 35. I've made attempts at finding parties and met with no success, and even after that NM spawn rate buff, the train seems absent. What's a lower level player to do? Sure, I could do my weekly challenge log and bum about inside Anemos, but that seems incredibly slow, bordering on unrealistic, unless of course that really is the only option now.

It just seems odd to me that yoshi and company didn't see this coming. Am I alone in thinking this is absurd? The train wasn't ideal, but something isn't right in Denmark. Being locked out by a lack of available players to group with is... well, I guess you could say it was one of the worst elements of older games. I don't have 5-6 hours at a time to wait on a party like I did when I was a teenager in the late 90's/early 2000's.

Challenge log of course, shout for nm lfg. Also you can stay around the starting area and wait for the NM without a party, usually there will be a lot of "inv pls" in shout when a NM spawns. Shout as well or invite everyone if you think you can make it to there. NM in Pagos dies a lot faster because some people pull early. for lower level, mostly you can only make to thoes spawn in South part of the map. You can use the Northwest Aethernet once you are 30, Northeast for 32. Press "/" on number pad to walk while close to dragons and fly "plants" mobs.

in a way I think it is a sound system for below level not being able to access the higher end fates that easy, which would require more gameplay at each stage, but I also fear that those lower end players will die out for not being able to do such as more and more turn 35, as for the grind for light and the likes, the way of grinding mobs and then NM's when they spawn seem to be the fastests way, was almost able to get my weapon done when I reached level 35 due to having put in an effort actually doing the chain grind + fates instead of just afking untill a fate spawns, had to work way up from 20 to 35 myself at the initial rush that way as it is, and I have to say got the loot needed pretty much as when to make weapon when I hit 35 except for 7 light or something, which makes second weapon more enjoyable to build as more ready set and go now.

The party problem exists regardless of level. I would like to do some relics as I usually do. I'm not that fussed about "the grind", but there's little opportunity to do it. Just about nothing in PF, start a PF and wait for it to time out with no takers, go in solo and twiddle thumbs shouting for a party... waste 1-2 hours and do nothing but 2-3 fates. They seriously need to make this more solo friendly, or put it in DF.

So I've let a month go by since I started the thread, and I've managed to reach 28 via challenge logs, and one lucky session with an NM party. By now you'd think I could find myself some kind of regular action, but it's just not so. Something went horribly wrong with Pagos, and I can only hope that this problem doesn't persist into Pyros. In a game that otherwise allows me to participate in content when ever I'd like, this is the most negative of throwbacks. In FFXI, sitting in Jeuno for hours looking for a party was not enjoyable, and it's not fun here either.

Considering Pagos leads up to Pyros...yeah, I wouldn't exactly get your hopes up. I honestly don't think I've seen anyone with a Pagos weapon since I got back a few weeks ago. Something drastic needs to happen, otherwise Pyros will essentially be dead right out the gate. It received a buff to the "light" phase with 4.41 by the looks of it. We'll just have to see how much.

Figures they buff light gains today when I was up until almost server shutdown last night finishing my light grind in Pagos.

Ultimately I feel like Eureka in general needs to have old zones nerfed considerably if they want people to go back through them. Deep Dungeons it's not useful for leveling alt jobs to keep people in them, and unlike normal content you can't put it in a roulette to keep people in it.

Things have recovered some since the patch, I haven't had any issue finding light farm groups the last week and there's usually a couple groups running around to spawn NMs, but I suspect Pyros and later 4.5 will utterly destroy Pagos.

Pagos has a roadblock of Anemos. Pyros will have a double roadblock of Anemos and Pagos.

I doubt I'll ever see the inside of Pagos, because it's just *so* dull. Clawing my way through Anemos is not a good use of time: time spent there is time I cannot be queued up for dailies, or savage raids.

I'm sorry, but out of all of them, it's clear which one has the least return for its time investment. Hence, this content is DiA for me.
