anubys mutation rate varies with weather. sounds like just unlucky rng. completing a 30 chain does not guarantee anything, nor does it drop anything. the only thing mutation guarantees is a "feeble" light increase.

There's no way that the mob would "know" you are on Chain 30. This is because maybe 3 people just joined your party and are on chain 0. How does the mob know if you have 5 seconds left on the chain? etc... Mutation rate is irrespective of your chain. It's based on some base rate and some unknown weather modifier (probably blizzards)
