I haven't touched Eureka yet, but from what I hear, it incorporates FFXI's camp 'n grind exp method of progressing including exp penalty for dying. It sounds to me like a pinnacle example of how this antiquated system just will not work in this game. This might work for nostalgic purposes, but what of those who weren't there? SE reminds me of someone who makes a basket from half court blindfolded, but can't make a free throw to save their life.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if 5.0 introduced a subjob system. The thunderous claps of palms on foreheads would echo for days. But SO many players are asking for it as they did for what I perceive is Eureka. "Bring more FFXI concepts into this game. FFXI did so many things right!" Yeah... at the time. It's 2018 now.

It becomes more and more difficult for me to fathom the decisions this company makes while still delivering ridiculously gorgeous story, music, and scenery. It's almost as if a pretentious artist/musician/story teller with no idea whatsoever how important cooperate decisions work is the one calling the shots. I think when players are asking for something new, giving them something old is probably not the best choice.
