Thread: FF14 Freezes into crashes (No error messages. Just not responding) v 2.0

So the issue described at the above is happening again. This happened before the driver update, and I'm currently on the latest Nvidia driver (399.07).

This time the issue occurs on the overlord and the dungeon. Micro freezes happen more frequently, and the stutters last longer.

Steps I tried:
Every suggestion on the original link (except switching to Dx9)
Setting power options to consistent performance and not maximum performance.
Turning thread optimization on
Setting thread optimization to Auto.

Currently trying out a bunch of options in the Nvidia control panel. Will update this thread.

EDIT1: So I've tried underclocking my card and it still crashed. Setting the power settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel to anything other than "prefer maximum performance" leads to an DirectX Fatal Error 110000002. If it is set to "prefer maximum performance", the game will stutter as described in the original post. Also during the freeze, multiple windows of "gpuControl" shows up, so this might be also related to the GPU utilization in the pinned post. Still investigating.
