    Asked to leave POTD because my gear was too high?

    A little background. I hadn't been in POTD for many months, and I finally got around to thinking about trying out the samurai class. I hopped over to POTD and queued up for floor 1, knowing it was an easy way to learn the skills in a quick party where nobody much cares about if you're top of the meters. On get through 1-10, kill the boss, and someone in the group says "wtf your gear is 90? please don't queue again, you'll ruin it."

    I am confused. I have never heard that a player's aetherpool gear/weapon level had any effect on the mobs in POTD (other than perhaps being easier to kill?). Would I actually screw up a run for other players if I was at 90/86 (the score I had last night) and wanted to do a matched party at level 1?

    The aetherpool gear is synced based on the floor you're at. You won't ruin anything just because your gear is a high level.

    Clearly that player has an inferiority complex. No your aetherpool has no bearing on those kinds of things. They've been playing Eureka too much.

    I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

    Don't listen to them! Your gear has nothing to do with their exp. The higher gear you have the less damage you toke. I maybe wrong but from a healer's point of view it seems that way.

    Who ever said that to me would been black listed few seconds later. That's what you should do so never get them in your party again.

    Bit extreme for a dumb/uninformed comment... and blacklisting doesn't prevent you from getting matched with them again. You just won't be able to receive tells and any groups they host on PF will be greyed out.

    Just walk it off OP, the person who said you were "ruining" it probably had no idea what they were talking about.
