    I think this is a good solution. Keep in mind, the total number of seals your character can have is capped too. By shifting the reset time on a daily basis gives everyone a better opportunity to participate. Yes, there will still be those players who camp it, but so what, to each their own! Isn't that one less person farming <insert item you farm but hate competition here>? I would have liked to see more randomness, but, now that I know I'll have multiple chances to turn items in, I can better prepare should I choose to participate.

    As a side note, I wonder if the devs are having this change play into the storyline in any way. Clearly the Grand Companies would be significantly increasing their efforts to stockpile goods by making this change. Could this be a sign of a more immediate danger lurking?

    EDIT: Now that I think about it, this does seem to just cause the problem more. That much time will just let the RMT and botters collect more of the item for the next turn in. The issue of the items filling up in less than a minute will still exist.

    Yes and no; you can only do so much with your seals; there's also a limit to how many you can have on your character at one time. Eventually, everyone will be max rank and have all the gear they want. RMT can only make so much money from the non-U/U gear available. You can *try* to go through 30,000 seals worth of crafting manuals in 28 hours, but......

    I feel like it's an adequate improvement over the old system, but as soon as new items/ranks get released or a surplus of new players hits, you're right. It'll be just as bad as the old system for a while.

    However, you now have (up to) 7x the chances you used to have, people will cap their seals much faster and move on, and you get a second (and third, and fourth...and seventh) chance to turn in the items you missed out on trading. I hope that, due to all of this, there will only be a week or two of people SPAMMING trades to cap seals, and then it'll calm down again.

    Essentially, people can get seals at 7x the rate they used to, so hopefully people will cap out consistently, giving the rest of us a chance.

    I think it would be good to at least randomize the week. Not every single item, of course, but each week it would be random which of the 8 sets we get. That would at least stop people from hoarding before the week starts. And, if they do want to hoard all 8 weeks' items, thats's their own problem and they can't really complain about inventory issues.

    Copy/Paste from my thread to keep that thread clean....

    me and few others posted on that JP thread, doing this only allows those few people who trade in items instantly to instead of having them stand every monday morning but to stand there every 28 hours... would of been happier seeing devs implement system where it's per user cap, instead of per GC cap, but then again someone did say if that person already capped on GC Company Seals he/she wouldn't even need to bother so just need to wait for then I guess...

    when people complain that things run out on their server does every category run out? Or are you guys just upset that you cant all turn in the easy fish? Seriuosly rabanastre is not very populated so only the fish cap and maybe the wood.

    Exactly RMT could have a field day with this, ie Sitting by the NPC selling items.

    Making a repeatable weekly or daily quest with randomly generated request-able items.

    I don't know why this dev team do things so counter-productively.
