Rewards kinda depend on the item value. Whatever though, as many have already stated, this isn't so much different from how FF11's guild shops worked. Be grateful for that. As for alternatives, maybe daily item turn ins, or, move the turn in time up by a few hours so it's not always 11pm JST, and right when I'm driving home from Sunday Mass - .-.

Maybe I am misunderstanding you, but are you saying we should be grateful that this system works similar to FFXI's broken guild shop NPC setup? Be grateful that it is similar to camping NPCs for mats, while RMT and alts suddenly login seconds before the stores open to grab up all the cotton bolls?

Please tell me that I misunderstand what you are getting at, because both systems are horribly flawed. The only reason XI doesn't catch serious flak for it is due to it not taking a whole week to reset.

Maybe you wouldn't be so poor and like it better if you were making gil by selling those items people want for seals. Fail to economy much?

Just turn it into personal quotas that way everyone has a chance. This way we can prepare ahead of time by knowing what the week will have, the quota can be lowered a bit so we don't seal overload, and the economy can still gain the benefit of having something to sell every week.

Because we all know rich people are the bullies, buying everything on the wards and nobody actually farms those items. Right!?

I have 270mil and I don't buy a single thing on the wards.

I farm it all.

Hence why I have gil.

This isn't just punishing rich people, this system punishes everyone. I farmed every single mat I intended to turn in. I didn't buy a single item. Yet I still got the shaft due to the poorly designed system.

Level a gathering job, sell the mats that are in high demand for people leveling their crafts and are too lazy to level up a gathering job for themselves.
