    Numbers is all cluttered up

    I'm talking about weapon skills with multiple hits. The damage numbers is all cluttered, and it looks untidily. It also fills up the battle log.

    I propose making it a single total calculated number for multiple hit weapon skills.

    Ex: You use Rage of Halone, you see only the total amount of damage it would do to the target, instead of seeing each damage hit point it does separately.



    If posted before, I didn't see it, and not sure if posted in right place.

    Edit: please read post 7. show the number of hits successfully landed, and then the total amount of damage done after

    I like that they show each individual hit, personally (I agree that it needs to be cleaned up). Which, I believe will look much nicer once the new client & server structures are introduced. It's useful to see each hit, Lancer for example, if I miss a strike out of a Chaos Thrust I could substitute a miss with Feint. I realize that with full party buffs it's not currently an issue, but I could see accuracy playing a bigger role in future battles.

    FFXI did this, clumped all multi hit dmg into one number, but you were unable to tell how many hits actually landed (without looking at tp returned), which crit etc...

    There's always the combat log if you absolutely need to know the damage, otherwise you should know how many hits your WS is, and you should be able to easily see one of the numbers clearly, like if it was around 200 or 300. That gives you a general idea if it's hard to see the numbers.

    Personally I like how it is right now, but it's such a non-issue that I could care less.

    If you miss, then they could easily remedy that by letting Feint flash or glow so you'll be notified.

    Weapon skills like Simian Thrash is 9 hits, if I wanted to check the logs to see if I miss one it would take up 9 lines..

    They could just clean up the UI as well & display each hit in correlation with the actions performed instead of lumping them together in one burst, but I agree with glowing abilities for Misses, Evades, Parries or Blocks. But in order for that to be beneficial, they would also need to allow us to display all three action bars at one time, since Feint is low priority & is not kept on my main bar. But I'm pretty sure both glowing abilities & all action bars displayed are planned for the future.

    I wouldn't mind if it was a toggle-like feature to display which way you like, but seeing each individual hit is more beneficial to my playstyle & more pleasing to me aesthetically.

    I just think its better to see one number displayed. This way you can see exactly how much damage you've done at one glance at the screen.
