I play on PC. I've check my firewall, I cleared my browser settings. I've tried selecting other data centers, same problem.
I don't get an error message, it just stays on Connecting to Data Center for hours. This has been going on for 3 days.

-It started last Tuesday. As far as I can tell, nothing changed.
-Wired.
-None.
-Constant.
-I haven't tried anything else.
Thank you for the reply Tokorai.
There are a few things that you can try and resolve the issue:
-Reset your router by turning it off for a few minutes, then back on.
-Check the following Port Ranges on your router/modem to ensure that the following Port Ranges have been opened:
▼TCP
54992 through 54994,
55006 through 55007,
55021 through 55040
Your ISP may forward these ports for you.
-You can also try a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.
We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
I tried all of that. Still no luck. I've read in other reports of this problem that it clears up on its own in time. I wonder if it's my ISP, they have to do maintenance in my area every Sunday. Not sure why it would only affect FFXIV though.
Thank you for the update Tokorai.
Sometimes it can clear up on it's own because your having issues with your ISP. There may be some congestion or interference between you and the server. That doesn't mean you're having problems with your connection or network, but you could have some problems trying to connect to certain servers or websites (FFXIV being one of them in this case). Since our standard troubleshooting doesn't seem to be working, I'd suggest contacting your ISP and see if there is anything they can do about your situation.

I am having the same problem. Ever since the patch on Sept 3 2018. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled. Flushed the dns checked all my settings. Nothing is working to fix it.
Edit: ISP is fine. Can play anything else I need to and go to any website I choose. Hubbies settings are more protective than my own and he can access it just fine. However I do get an error 2002

Well, I'm able to log in again. No idea what changed.
Thank you for the update Tokorai.
It may have been a momentary hiccup with your ISP or your network equipment. I'm not certain, but at least you can log in now. This thread will be moved to the 'Closed Concerns' subforum as the thread creator has found a resolution to their issue.
