Bad Sever lag after the last patch

I have had bad lag after the last patch, like everything stopping then it kicks me out then I get the 90002 error code or it fixes for a sec then happens again. PC btw and I have already tested all on my end is it your guys end and is there going to be a fix soon or? Also would you have any ideas to what is making it happen?

Yeah it is unplayable in instances for me lately. Similarly I've checked issues on my end, as I thought it may be my ISP at first. I'm also the same server as you, not sure if it's data center or what?

Well I'm happy to know I'm not the only one at least. But ya it's really bad in any duty, instance, or even sometimes just do fates or normal running around killing stuff.

I'll join in here since I've been experiencing severe lag since the latest patch. And it's not just "Oh a bit of lag" and then everything fixes itself. It's severe lag spikes with everything and everyone standing in place, and then suddenly being on the other side of the area. Skills won't go off. It's even worse in instances. My packets sending/receiving are almost always at 0/1000 or 1000/0 (and this is while standing still in Gridania). Sometimes the larger number is much higher, especially in instances. But I never get anything stable in between, no matter what I've tried.
A few FC mates have been having the same issues since the patch came out.

    Server: Behemoth
    Platform: PC
    Errors: None
    Connection: Wired
Programs: None because I turned them off to see if they were the issue. they weren't.
    Frequency: ALL THE TIME.
Fixes Attempted: Turning everything but game off. Making sure other devices aren't on. Resetting router. Programs to try and up my ping to the servers (WTFast, Kill Ping). Restarting computer.

    Perpetually lagging

    Thank you for the reply.

If you are having this issue on PC, I'd suggest trying some of the following:

The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or to "Allow All Cookies"
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

-Reset your router by turning it off for a few minutes, then back on
-Make sure your anti-virus/firewall has the appropriate exceptions for Final Fantasy XIV (you can temporarily disable them while you try to connect as well).
-Check the following Port Ranges on your router/modem to ensure that the following Port Ranges have been opened:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040
Your ISP may forward these ports for you.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

Like we have all said we have done/tried all of this stuff and more

and it changes nothing so. It is your guys end and you need to fix it. I love the game but this is making it hard to have fun and very hard to play and enjoy it or play at your very best if you would want to with skills/spells not going off or people standing still for a few seconds like Azhra said above. this has been going on for a while now and still no fix? Really Square Enix...

Also I'm PC if you did not see above when I started this thread and the only time I get an error is if the lag ends up kicking me out of the game with the error code 90002 but that's the only error. Like I was just changing my hair in a Inn and got disconnected for no reason with the 90002 error. But the big problem is the never ending lag.

    Platform: PC
Errors: Sometimes 90002 if kicked out of the sever.
    Connection: Wireless
Programs: No external program or using the network
Frequency: Constant, Gets worse in any instance
Fixes Attempted: Made exceptions in the firewall for ffxiv

Only happening to me now in Pagos. Get huge lag spikes that last long time and game freezes up random in Pagos. Leave Pagos no lag at all and game never freezes up. I only have ffxiv running and no other programs running other than operating system to my pc. I'm wired direct to plug coming from outside to my room. Have ffxiv running thru firewall.
