It's interesting that necklaces show with this top but I can't get one to show with my faire joi... (does the female joi have a neck band? Might explain it.)
I’ve made a mint selling the shoes. Al Bundy would be proud.
They're the Halonic Exorcist's Thighboots. A lucky drop out of Vault the other night running it for an FC mate, just after I'd looked at them on Arya (rdm npc) in Moar Donuts and wondered what she was wearing and where she'd gotten them.
I especially appreciate that they actually match the jet black dye, as so many undyeable pieces don't match any of our available dyes and are therefore impossible to match...
I was deeply disappointed by these pants and don't understand the intention of the design here. I did not want more plain slacks like the bonding set or best man's pants but goodness, these are too far in the other direction.
The shoes are gorgeous at least. The top would have been very handsome if it had tailored sleeves with cuff links or something rather than sleeves that remind me of something my grandma would look nice in. Perhaps I'm not understanding Japanese fashion?
I actually solo farmed the 1st boss of the Vault to get those boots yesterday. It took me 40 minutes to get those boots to drop. Pretty easy to get now. The Vest itself looks cool. I went to check it out once I saw a dude wearing it then realized how hideous the neck ruffles are. Why ruin such a great top with those ruffles.
Oh, absolutely. I only called it lucky because I wasn't even looking for them, just opened my inv and they were my 51-59 dungeon freebie. Thank you, glamour fairy godmother!I actually solo farmed the 1st boss of the Vault to get those boots yesterday. It took me 40 minutes to get those boots to drop. Pretty easy to get now. Another glamour idea I had (but I think it needs a cuter character than I have available, plus seasonal gear) is that I think the shirt would match well with the Valentione's feathered cap? And maybe the Valentione's pants with the striped socks.
They seem to do that a lot with gear. I'm not sure why. Must be something to do with how it's programmed to handle multiple colours within a dyeable item.It has bad dye option except if u wanna dye it darker.
I wanted it pure white but the vest turns into grey instead of white.
It annoys me that if a robe is oiginally lighter and has dark details into it, the dark parts turns into grey if u dye it pure white while jet black covers all and tunrs that detailed part bit darker.
The upside for the dye colour here is that you can use cheap Soot Black dye to make the vest a deep black colour. (The astrologian glamour I posted in post #2 is using soot black dye on the shirt and pants.)
...and a far more sensible price in my opinion.
I'm not that keen on the female version actually. I don't like the ruffles starting so high up on the bodice. I would have preferred a blouse-and-vest similar to the male version. (and full-length tights under the skirt, but that may just be me. Would make sense with that style though.)
I'm not sure about the Faire Joi, but I know at least some of the Shisui Joi variations have neckbands and straps. So possibly they've just turned off necklaces for all versions of the design.
I guess it suits the original set, rather than what people are trying to repurpose it for? But yeah, it does make it harder to make use of it, and also has clipping issues with longer hairstyles that ruin the look of it.
It might work better if the ruffle wasn't quite so long. (Tactical advantage of the Elezen 'giraffe neck'?)
Panicked belated edit: Just realised that might sound like I was making fun of your character. Was meant to be self-deprecating on behalf of my own Elezen.

I appreciate that SE finally made a matching set for crafted glamour, but... uh, those pants though. At least most of the boot options get that mess under control.
Hoping the next iteration (there BETTER be one!) takes inspiration from a different and less billowy, ruffly source.
