Moving chat box closer to the edge of the screen

On PS4, it seems impossible to have the chat box closer to the edge of the screen than it is on the screenshot :

I would like it aligned with my party list and closer to the edge (red arrow)
Why such a big gap ?

If you go in to mouse mode and click and grab on the General tab of the chat box you will be able to drag it wherever you want. I have mine to the very edge of the screen as well, also it lets me make it bigger to fit more text inside.

It's just the same in mouse mode.
I can't close this gap.

I'm not sure what else to suggest. Mine below has it all the way to the left of the screen that it won't go any further, (through the mouse mode nothing else).

Just tried to switch to a smaller tv screen and it indeed appeared on the edge. But when i switch back to my main screen. It's not.
Is it possible it won't let me close that gap cause it consider the screen too big ?

I get this problem, too. I like to align things at the edge of the screen, but the chat box won't let me.
