Hey all, sorry if this is a dumb question.

I'm a brand new player, but was a huge fan of FFXI. I've been reading up on all the information regarding FFXIV 2.0 and all the patches in between. I saw that Monk job quests will be introduced, but I'm not too sure what that means. Is Pugilist being re-named "Monk" or is it a brand new class? Also, the words "job" and "class" keep popping up, but are they synonymous?

Just confused. Like should I bother going pug if MNK was what I wanted in the first place. AM I LOOKING TOO FAR INTO IT?! @_@
