We have confirmed that the issue causing Final Fantasy XIV PlayStation®4 clients to not launch correctly was caused by a problem with the automatic download feature for the PlayStation®4 patch system. As a result, the automatic download feature was put on hold as of 3:30 a.m. (PDT) / 10:30 (GMT) / 11:30 (BST), and the aforementioned issue was resolved.

In order to implement countermeasures to resolve the root cause of this issue, Sony Interactive Entertainment are continuing their investigations. Once the root cause has been fixed, we plan to resume the automatic download feature.
