    Regarding issues with loading the PS4® version of FFXIV (Aug. 28)

    Some players may be experiencing difficulties with loading the PS4® version of FFXIV.

    Current investigation has confirmed that an issue wherein an outdated client application has not been updated correctly and will prevent the game from starting.

    We are currently working with Sony Interactive Entertainment to repair this issue and ask that you please wait patiently.

    Regarding Issue with loading the PlayStation 4® version of FFXIV (Aug. 28): Follow-up

    We have confirmed that the issue causing Final Fantasy XIV PlayStation®4 clients to not launch correctly was caused by a problem with the automatic download feature for the PlayStation®4 patch system. As a result, the automatic download feature was put on hold as of 3:30 a.m. (PDT) / 10:30 (GMT) / 11:30 (BST), and the aforementioned issue was resolved.

    In order to implement countermeasures to resolve the root cause of this issue, Sony Interactive Entertainment are continuing their investigations. Once the root cause has been fixed, we plan to resume the automatic download feature.

    We apologize for the continued inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding while we work towards resolving this issue.
