Well, I picked it up, but on account of how horrible the PS3 load times were and how shit I am at spectacle fighters, didn't get very far.

Self-deprecation aside, I can't see what value there would be in pulling Minfilia Lily Ascilia forward through time. Minfilia's supposed ability to "clean up the excess Light" from the First Shard was implicitly linked to her status as Hydaelyn's meat puppet emissary, something her younger self does not share.

It's definitely a plausible scenario if time travel is involved (and between the talk of "undoing [a] tragedy" there's likely to be either time travel or dimension hopping shenanigans afoot), but the specific scenario I can't picture a reason for with what we know at the moment.

Ah... I need to go into a full analysis of the Shadowbringers teaser, but I'm too tired to do that right now. Maybe tomorrow.

The white / silver hair could mean she's a Garlean royal; one of the persistent features in Garlean royalty is blonde / white hair.

That the girl could be Hydaelyn incarnate is an interesting possibility, but one I don't feel has a whole lot to back it up. She was so weak She needed to use a sock puppet to communicate with us last, and implicit forces of Light attacking Her. She doesn't seem to have total control over Light, but it is one of Her domains, so Amdapori constructs (powered by Light magicks) attacking Her and Thancred doesn't make a whole lot of sense. To me.

I'm not committing to the idea it's some version of Minfilia, it's just what feels most plausible at the moment to me. There are numerous possibilities, most of which have been covered, so I'll leave it at that.

Definitely getting the vibe that the mystery voice is trying to protect our allies from whatever that is. "Only you... Only you..." He says it twice in that scene, once for Urianger and once for Y'shtola.


But really, can they not with the ally death this time? We know they can't commit to anyone big like Nanamo, but for anyone less I'd just end up mourning a wasted character arc. So it'll probably be Arenvald and co.

Or outright dying, given what the word 'requiem' in the 4.5 patch title actually means (it's a religious song written for the soul of the recently deceased, Mozart's unfinished Requiem being the most famous, and hence it became a byword for any event that ends something, usually with much death and destruction). My guess for who the 'heroes' in the title are though is the Archons, as SE seem to be trying to clear the slate of the old 1.0 Archons in favour of new characters, Lyse possibly being the most likely to bite the bullet given her leadership of the Resistance and regarded as the 'hero' of Ala Mhigo's liberation, and the (mostly unwarranted) hate she's copped from players since SB's launch.

On the point of the Archons being comatose currently, I sure hope SE does not resort to that tired old trope though, as it's so well known and overused to the point of being cliched.
