The short will be SHAB and the adjective will be SHABby.
At least during content droughts. *cough*

hmm pretty cool name if it's true, guess we'll have to wait and see if that is indeed the expansion name, should find out at the fanfest in novemeber.

I liked most of what I heard. Very glad to hear they want to grow the game more.
I'd like (and realise it's too early for) more detail on the job changes. I still want to see if they'll announce reducing the GCD to something like 2 seconds. Big undertaking but it'd be worth it to speed the game up a bit.
New PVP modes/content, expanding on Frontlines/Rival Wings type content and spicing it up a bit would be great. PVP overhauls to make it more enticing would generally excite me. No suggestion of it yet, but I remain optimistic.
I had hoped for graphics enhancements, but Yoshi had said they'd be more fitting closer to the PS5's release - unless they're hiding them for one of the other fanfests, which I doubt. We'll probably just see piecemeal enhancements for now. Char creation could really use them, though, as well as more design options, like more faces and more sliders per race.
I don't think we'll be done with the Ascians or Zodiark for now, assuming they're the true big bads; I'm starting to have my doubts on that. Probably 6.0, that arc will wrap up and we'll move onto another antagonist, like the Void and its denizens, or something else.
We'll likely see the end of the Empire as an Ascian tool, though, in 5.0. My suspicion is we'll work with them in some capacity, probably after we've liberated Garlemald (maybe aiding an already fed up Emperor Varis) from their grasp and then come to understand what's really going on.
I'm keen to learn more about 1) where we're going 2) what other jobs there will be 3) will BLU ever get to 80 and be able to participate in proper content 4) what races are being added, playable or otherwise and 5) what new job actions there will be and how they will tie in with the light/dark theme, if at all.
Super interested to see more pieces of the trailer.
I hope one of the future expansions sees the WoL (or WoD as he may now be) change to a BLM or similar job. A Sharlayan themed one will be perfect for it.

When the game's story becomes self-aware:
I'm not sure how much that would work, given that the Void is supposedly the work of the Ascians in the first place. Like how the First was overrun with Light because the WoDs (then, that world's WoLs) were too powerful, the Void became so because the Ascian entrusted with it was too strong for their WoL and the balance shifted too heavily towards Darkness.
If there's another villain beyond the Ascians, or another arc at all, I wonder if it's not Sharylan based. We always saw them as a power for good because of the Scions and individuals like Matoya, but the fact remains that they all up and abandoned Eorzea in its time of need, hoard a mountain of knowledge and refuse to share. We also know from things like the AST questline that they're not actually good people, they're neck deep in politics and think they know better than the rest of the world. That's a recipe for disaster.

I'm just going to drop this here: Thread when Stormblood trademark was discovered.

You're good at the game? You're an elitist.
You're using a parser to better yourself? Elitist.
You're making suggestions on how someone can improve themselves? E l i t i s t.
You wipe a farm party constantly but you're having fun playing your way. Nah you're fine dude.
This community astounds me at times.

Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

Shadowbringers doesn't sound like an expansion, as much as it sounds like a AAA title Squeenix is putting out in a action genre. That's just me though. It's more like the title of the next quest to do, but not the actual expansion name. I don't think they'd be that dumb to make two names with the same two starting letters of their current expansion. Lol. I'm hopeful that they're not that dumb.

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers sounds really.... odd.

They can name it whatever they want.
I am befuddled by people who think such and such name is "too strange" to be used as an expansion title or "it doesn't follow X or Y trend" as if SE would have to rigidly adhere to whatever "rules" this hypothetical person's mind conjures up.
