    Heaven on High

I can't find my answers anywhere so thought I would ask here.

    1. What's the max LVL your weapon enhancements can be I'm guessing +99 inside?
    2. Does i-lvl effect your stats inside?
    3. Any recommendations on the best class to attempt a solo?
    4. When soloing if you use pomanders and then fail the floor, do you get the pomanders back?
    5. Are pomanders interchangeable with the entry slots? For example if I enter using slot one and collect my pomanders can I continue with slot 2 saving what I had collected from slot 1?
    6. Any tips for me?

    99/99 for weapon/armour

Your ilvl has no meaning in potd/hoh; you can go in ilvl1 gear and it won't do anything to your stats.

I've solo'd 1-30; I found WHM easiest because of Fluid Aura. The sharks on the first ~5 floors (the wandering mobs) pack a punch but can be knocked back and their cast interrupted. I also tried PLD on Shield Oath, but I had better results as a WHM personally.

When you die on a floor, and unsaved progress is lost. So if you clear floor 10 and then die on floor 11, your progress will reset back to the saved state after your clear on floor 10. Your progress saves every 10 floors after the boss fight. So, pomanders you do get back, in a sense, since you technically made no progress. They do not carry over to a different save file, they are hard locked i to the save file you're using.

As for tips: if you get into a pinch, make sure you know what some of the lifesaving poms look like so you can find them quickly (the petrify one, transformation to turn things into chickens or whatnot) if you hit a luring trap or aggro more than you wanted by accident. Also, when you move rooms, try to pull mobs into the hallway; if they aren't just a straight connecting one and have another dead end path, try to pull the mobs into the dead ends; you'll avoid wandering mob aggro this way.

When you move into a new room, try to enter from the side of the door and move along the walls: traps can be right as you step into a room and generally are not against walls.

Use the steel/strength poms often, you get a buttload of them. The magicite is good for bosses, but will also clear floors if you're trying to move quickly and you don't find those as often.

Last but not least, ALWAYS keep checking your surroundings! Make sure nothing will sneak up on you. Most mobs can be stunned/knocked back save for the yabbies and... one other mob I'm blanking on. Wandering mobs are usually a couple levels higher than the static mobs on the floor and can be more dangerous.

    Good luck!

I would also suggest RDM for solo. RDM so far has the record of PotD/HoH solo clears

For Solo (I'm assuming you mean solo to 100):

I've done 1-80 on WAR so far. Haven't had as much free time as I would like in game for more attempts yet (went from an HoH static to a Pagos static...).

I actually recommend that you try to avoid using Pomanders as much as possible. You will need them mostly for the upper floors (70-99) when solo.
Once you are capped on a pom type, then you can use them as you find more. BUT if you are capped on all pom types, then this affords you the option to just skip gold chests entirely for a bit. Ideally you want to be capped in everything for the final floor set (most likely 2/3 magicite), which will allow you to easily cheese 5/9 floors with 2 magicite and 3 petrify.

You will NEED defense and strength poms for the upper floor bosses, most likely floor 70 and floor 80 boss. tbh, based on my experience with floor 90 boss in my party clears... I'm not even gonna bother continuing a file to him solo unless I have an Elder magicite handy. Too much can go wrong too fast.

Mimics... unfortunately I don't remember the exact floors... but what chests can be mimics is determined by what floor you are on... I believe 1-30 Bronze chests, 31-70 Silver chests, 71-100 gold chests. What this means is that the other chests are 100% not mimics. For example, 71-30 you can open bronze and silver without worrying that they'll ever be a mimic (though silvers can still blow up in your face). Ideally on the upper floors you would avoid opening gold chests as much as possible, but since silvers are safe you should always check those for magicite. This also means that the primary thing you want to do between 1-70 is open every gold chest you can find and cap all your pomander types.

Preparation... The potions that you can buy with Gelmooran Potsherds are absolutely must-have for surviving the upper floors. They also help on 1-20 before you get to level 70 again. I recommend farming 21-30 for a potsherds so you can get at least 50 of the potions before making a 1-100 solo attempt in earnest.
