Yeah sure, why have ANY respect for the people who stayed right up to the end.
Actually, if not for Yoshi-P, XIV wouldn't have had the makeover that it did, to be fair. The 1.0 players were the beta testers, unfortunately. But, ultimately? He was the one who actually turned XIV into something profitable, not the 1.0 players themselves essentially. They could have hired anyone besides Yoshi-P even with the 1.0 players and that director could have burned it further into the ground. The game is here because Yoshi-P took something terrible that he already knew was terrible from the last director, 1.0 players or not. No offense. Aside from the 1.0 players, we have ARR, HW, and SB players still funneling this game alive. It's not just about you guys. We're still here up to the end.

Contract or no contract, you don't go telling a paying customer that something is exclusive to them and then some years later give it to everyone. That poor business no matter how you look at it.
Actually, that's normal business practice. Every company besides SE will lie to their customer base in some form or way.

And you may think, "Oh it not going to break the bank." and this one won't, but it just another thing that being pile on top of what already wrong/bad with this game and SE as company. One day, it will catch up to them.
It's not. Years later, people will forget this event even existed and SE will still do what SE does whether you drop your sub fee over this or not.
