I just made them to check if the npc was up. The other npc was up the one that you can trade to get the earrings and fireworks but not the one that took you in the instance. I was thinking that maybe they were only open on certain data centers at certain times maybe it's actually servers I don't know hopefully somebody will figure this out soon. >. <

It opened at the same time (~10:01pm at GMT+10) on Typhon, Aegis and Unicorn servers. I also saw that someone in my party was from Ramuh. I waited on Aegis to confirm that the recruiter disappears at the end of the three-hour window, at 1:01 am.

The NPC selling the earrings and fireworks is always there, even before you start the initial quest. He doesn't appear and disappear like the recruiter does.

Additionally even if the recruiter is there, because there are so many people in the zone, he (and his quest marker) is invisible until you get quite close to him. I only realised he was there because I saw the crowd was moving towards that spot.

And because you only have a newly-made alt, the game may not make the quest visible to you if you are not eligible to join it.

Perhaps I should have left the event undone with one of my characters to check whether he was still visible without completing the first quest.



Also generally, could people listing appearance times please include your "GMT +/- X hours" information so everyone knows what timezones everyone else is talking about, without having to look it up elsewhere. Thanks.

What about players not native to the data center, like europeans in NA? Will we have to set an alarm for 3am? If the pattern of 9pm is accurate, since 9pm EST is 3am GMT+1...

Quality design. Spawn the NPC during times when I’m sleeping or in class. A+.
By the time I get home he’ll have likely despawned.
