Says right in patch notes they lowered amount of monsters needed to spawn nm's and increase there exp. Looks like some one lied from SE staff then which is not ok.

So this translates to "They didn't like the RNG, please learn to like the RNG". How else are you supposed to interpret his comment on how people aren't doing it right, and will be forced to do it right for Light? It's not that bad grinding out light, but it IS RNG (Mutation and Adaptation is RNG). What's to do right about it?

According to the OP of that Reddit thread, in response to someone stating they're hoping that's a mistranslation:
So NM's will still take longer to spawn in Pagos compared to Anemos, but at least there's a chance of actually having multiple NM's spawn at all now... I'm still a bit uncertain on their spawn conditions, though (weather and obvious mobs aside. Some NM's seem to spawn outside of weather windows, like Anapos. That once spawned 10-15 minutes into Thunderstorm weather).Sorry, I didn't read the hotfix notes and only heard about the 3x EXP, so I misread it. That was meant to be "didn't increase the NM spawn rate to as much as it was before [in Anemos]".

This is why i always take fan translations with a grain of salt, because theres always a mistranslation or something that gets missed, and people get so up in arms every time...

That interview just rubbed me all sorts of the wrong way. From his comments on Pagos to his complete apathy for the 5-year anniversary and future of the game, I'm just incredibly put off by all of it.

I have to agree. I don't know whether he was in a bad mood or just giving vague answers that sounded better in his head, but it came across incredibly apathetic. Very much like Diadem where he told people to "just play the content."
Well, make good content then.

Or maybe the translation doesnt carry across tone very well, or isn't very accurate. Theres always issues in these 3rd party translations of interviews.

I can also see the question about the future of the game being handled vaguely because we're only a couple of months away from the announcement of 5.0, which is something they probably don't want to spoil (or even get people guessing on).

Should have asked him if he had played pagos once it had gone live and if he thought it was fun, with the follow up question of how long did you play it.

I think it's more so they don't want to say anything displeasing to stop the subs dropping any more due to content drought. I mean I recently unsubbed because Eureka is dirt. If they say anything people don't want to hear it will make it worse. Eureka is really the only content that will be there 4.5 to 5.0 so for 3-4 month the only stuff will be that or grind and prepare for a new expansion, and most people don't want that
