bumpy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am wondering the same thing. I keep looking and so far I have found that some changes made DEX not as useful but I wonder if DEX still increases accuracy. I miss a lot right now so I am reluctant to skip putting points in DEX.
With all of the changes being made I don't know if the information I find is up to date. I hear they will be letting us reset points later so if I mess up I hopefully will know how to fix it when they do let us reallocate points.
I will keep checking back here to see if anyone gives some information.
Your abilities are influenced by STR and INT (some attack isn't bad thou) so raise that. DEX indeed raise accuracy, but in full party isn't a issue, so if you're going for a DEX build use it only in solo.
Allocate stat points to STR and INT.
Gear for STR and ATK. Do not worry about gearing INT until max level.
Always select the weapon with the highest damage rating for your level--at or below, don't try to rock Lv.50 dated weapons at level 20.
In a party of 4 or more, you will gain enough accuracy from the PT bonus to max out hit rate. You may wish to keep a set of ACC+ rings/helm/etc. for solo and lowman play, however.
And don't forget to smile.![]()

Nice info Yakikaze and Almalexia. I am level 15 on my PUG and I did put a few points into DEX but the other points I put into INT. I think I will stop putting points into DEX like you have both suggested and go STR and more INT the rest of the way. (^_^)b
If you have trouble hitting, rock 4 accuracy rings.
I only just recently started playing 14, but I have always loved the monk/pugilist/beat-em-up-with-your-fists classes. I had a character at level 25 PUG before my little bro accidentally deleted him. I have found that if you are missing a lot in the early levels, it can be pretty beneficial to get LNC to level 4. Then you can add the feint attack to your PUG. Every time you miss, use feint, and do moderate damage for 500 TP. I can see STR and INT as desirable stats, but does INT do anything more than increase your damage on blindside attacks? Does DEX increase evasion?
Seconding Narfalicious. Pick up 4 rings such as: Dated Bone Ring, Dated Copper Ring, or Dated Brass Ring to boost the accuracy by 8~12 points.
Cross-Class Abilities:
Lancer gets an ability like Invigorate which increases your TP generation for a while.
Archer gets an ability like Quelling Strike that boosts the TP generation of your next attack and in a party setting, reduce some of the threat your move will generate.
I would probably get the Conjurer ability for Cure for those times when you just need the extra heal between using Second Wind.

Thank you Narfalicious, I don't use a mouse when playing because of the poor specs of my current compy. The mouse lag just bugs the hell out of me. So as a result I never hovered over any of the stats. And also thanks for pointing me to the 1.20 patch notes. I started right after 1.20b so I missed them.
And thanks to Estellios for the advice on just using gear to spec one way or the other. I had the suspicion that I was going to need to do that anyway and it is nice to hear in the affirmative.
