New GC Story Developments (Spoilers)

Okay so I just finished the new Limsa story Alive and holy shit this story just got crazy.

Ebrelnaux: The Allagans were remarkably skilled in the manufacture and manipulation of complex machina similar to what is seen in Garlemald today, though it is believed that their knowledge was at a level far in advance of the Garleans.

Ebrelnaux: Though it may sound ludicrous, we believe that a recently discovered device of theirs may have been used to communicate with...and possibly even control the lesser moon Dalamud.

Ebrelnaux: Yes, I understand this is all difficult to digest, but you must bear with me. That which you and countless other Eorzeans believe to be a star, a god, a divine watch hound, is actually something more...substantial, and the Allagans, in their hubris, found a way to bend it to their own will.

Cid: The Empire's Meteor project is far more than it seems. While the initiative itself is fairly new, its origins lie in ancient magicks that legends tell us were used to tear stars from the heavens and send them crashing down upon the land.

Cid: However, the Empire's interest centers not only on the arcane, but on a colossal machine created thousands of years ago by a people known as the Allagans. What is this colossal machine, you ask? Why look up and you can see it for yourself.

Cid: Dalamud─the perfect weapon with which to destroy the beast tribes. A pity that it will destroy all the rest of us, as well.

Cid: After the incident at Bozja Citadel, I believed that the Empire had come to realize their folly, and abandoned their studies regarding Meteor.

Cid: But here they are, scouring every ilm of Vylbrand for the solitary needle, buried somewhere in this vast haystack of a realm, that will bring them closer to achieving their ends.

*Cid was on his way to check out some Allagan ruins which may give us some insight into stopping Dalamud

*Gaius was there and him and Cid had a few choice words, mostly revealing that Cid was previously at least friends with him and that Darnus is really pulling all the strings.

*The Garleans are trying to find an Allagan artifact that allows them to control Dalamud because:

*It was also revealed that Dalamud is actually a colossal machine created by the Allagans which the Garleans have sought to gain control of to kill the beast tribes.

"That's no moon."

So can someone summarize the events and key points of the other new GC quests?

Wouldn't surprise me if Dalamud is a construct. In the Hunter's Moon "poster" Dalamud had all sorts of spike structures on it.

In the Gridanian Quest Two Vanns are better than one you hear from Cid and Nael Van Darnus

Decades ago a Garlean engineer discovered the ruins of an allagan structure within it there was a device that they beleived that could somehow send waves of energy (aeyther, which is why the garlean empire is occupying the dungeons that are full of crystals) to Dalamud that could influence the celestial body itself. 10 years ago they attempted to cast dalamud down to destroy the beast tribes of eorzea but they needed the sorcery meteor to do so but not everything went as planned and the attempt was abandoned due to it's danger and inability to control. Nael Van Darnus has found a way to control how dalamud will fall and to do so, they are searching for Allagan tomestones which im guessing will somehow enable them to control meteor.

Hmm. This is awesome.
The Ul'dah CS pretty much said all of this as well, but I never really read into the words as deeply as the rest of you.

I need to start paying more attention. x.x
