Unable to Pass the First Login Screen / White Screen of Death [PS4]

The new hotfix that happened August 20, 2018 made it worse for me. On Tuesday, I clicked on the app to start up FFXIV. The update bar begins and gets stuck at 1%, then gives an error code 10 seconds later [20502][10009][-2143088536] then starts all over again.

I googled up the error code and it's solutions. People are saying to change internet configurations.

    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...es-20512-25008

So I tried setting the MTU to 1400. Finally! Got 100% on the update bar, and got past the PS4 part of the update and see the first login screen. So the 3 megabyte starts downloading at a really slow rate. Gets only half a byte before it times out and gives me a brand new error code: [20512] [25008] [10009] . It's bizarre because of it being something that should be completely unrelated to my problem because I use Wireless, not cables. So we tried restarting the app, and it got stuck in a white screen. No error code this time.

    -----------------------------------

    Current Situation

The day is August 23, 2018.The network settings was restored to normal. But my app continues to gets stuck in a white screen every time I try to start FFXIV. No error codes, no solutions, no nothing. I tested around other online games to see if it was just my internet, and they worked fine. It's only FFXIV that doesn't work.

This has never happened to me in the 4 years I've been playing FFXIV. Been login issues in the past, but nowhere near as bad as this. I can't even access a login screen.

    Edit

I just tried starting the app again, and now it's stuck in a "Connecting to Playstation Network." screen.

    Edit 2

Aug 23, 7:52am - Attempted three more times. Each one came with a different result.

    #1: White Screen
#2: Loaded the Square Enix trademark logo at the bottom, as well as language option, but noting else. No login screen.
#3: White Screen followed by a brand new error code: (WV-33907-2)

    Edit 2.5

The (WV-33907-2) claims the internet connection may be busy or unstable. This outcome is impossible on my end as I am the only one in the household that uses wireless - the same wireless for the last 4 years. Also, other online games still work. So I tried restarting the router, and it didn't fix anything. Still getting white screens whenever FFXIV app starts.

Hello Ashett, Thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums

The issue you are describing is most associated with interference with the game data. Most of the time, it results from certain security/privacy changes on PSN web browser. Please make sure that "Cookies" and "JavaScript" are ENABLED on the PSN Browser. This can be done by going to the web browser on the PS4, press the options button, then go to settings. The options for Cookies and Javascript will most likely be checked, uncheck them and then recheck them.

The fault may also lie with the "Date & Time" settings on your PlayStation 4. We would advise to please follow the provided steps to adjust your console's clock to assure it is accurate and up-to-date:
Close the FINAL FANTASY XIV game/application.
Go to [SETTINGS] on your PS4.
Select [Date and Time], and "Set via Internet". (Please do not manually set the date and time.)
Once, the date and time settings have been updated, please restart your PlayStation 4 console.
Once your console has fully restarted, please start the FINAL FANTASY XIV game/application.
Please make sure all other internet-enabled devices (including smartphones, laptop/desktop PCs, tablets, etc.) have been disabled and/or turned OFF to minimize game interference.

If the suggestions provided above do not resolve the issue, then there is a communication error. (Not the same as a connection error.)
Check the following Port Ranges on your router/modem to ensure that the following Port Ranges have been opened/forwarded/triggered:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

    Hope to be of assistance.

    Problem Solved - Signal Jam

The issue looks to be resolved on my end. Something was blocking the wifi signal. Plan to remedy it by buying boosters.
