450k from the goat NM, and 1/8th bar of light (maybe a little more?). Not complaining.
To the people who rushed to 35, I say put your health 1st in future; the grind was not healthy, especially to max out so fast and early.

How very DARE players not like chain mobs! I for one am physically ill because once again Square Enix has decided to let those INSIGNIFICANT WRETCHES play the train again! It's disgustingly sad that this is what you want from a game ..afk..return..afk...sickening.sad and pathetic..both on players that begged and also SE FOR ONCE AGAIN just handing everything on a silver platter if the tears roll..you all could have been 35 and have a weapon it's called put effort in and earn it
There's no room in MY Eureka for varying playstyles so I can find people who like chain mobs over the train and play in peace away from them.

There is no such thing as varying playstyles in this type of content. People will find the most efficient way of grinding and stick with it. I agree with them that I rather not see a train, but because that Pagos was poorly designed that I would take that over what is was before. All of this in general just shows that there is a major split in people who enjoy this FFXI like content and who doesn't. When SE decides to try content like this again, they need to create it so it stays consistent with the rules of philosophy of FFXIV while bringing a fun open world experience. It is hard to do since FFXIV isn't built initially for this type of content. When you go into Pagos, you feel like you are playing a different game with FFXIV's systems. How very DARE players not like chain mobs! From what I experienced last night, this won't be the same train as Anemos. In about an hour only 4 NMs spwwned: Ash Dragon after five minutes, Hecteyes after 20 minutes, the bull after about 40 minutes, and the snowman after nearly an hour. Other NMs were being worked on for that entire hour but did not spawn, even when time and/or weather conditions synced up for them to spawn. We were also clearing both bunny FATEs pretty often.
As obnoxious as people were being about the train in shout-chat, most level headed folks were in agreement that chaining and NM spawning is still the most efficient method to leveling up. All this did was make leveling easier by buffing NM xp by about 3x. The train will still be boring, but there will likely remain exp-chain and challenge log groups.
Endless chain mobbing doesn't work in 14 like it does in 11. The apm for 14 is too high and there's no time for any socializing during it because of that. The train allowed for socializing through whole zones. There is no such thing as varying playstyles in this type of content. People will find the most efficient way of grinding and stick with it. And yes, you're more likely to find people wanting the train than the chain. That's probably the reason they brought the train back. But if you want to chain, you can still chain.

it feels like they upped the Mutation rate of mobs too
got like 15 mutated mobs in a chain

Does SE even playtest their content? Surely one dev must have questioned how somebody is expected to derive enjoyment from smashing their fingers for hours on end for already outdated equipment.
The train was the only thing Eureka had going for it and that was because of the players rather than the content itself.

I notice how most of the people against this immediately think "now I have to AFK" or "everybody is going to afk". Funny, my first thought was "yay, I can engage with other players and my friends again." I've never afk'd and I don't even remember it's an option until the mouth-foamers yell about it.
Maybe if y'all's first instinct wasn't to afk we would have these problems...

This was me. I was like yay killing mobs joking around you know socializing. Untill I went into an instance and was called a sniveling leech for even mentioning the train O.oI notice how most of the people against this immediately think "now I have to AFK" or "everybody is going to afk". Sadly so far it seems that now Pagos is even more divided than it was, and as someone pointed out because of it less is getting done.
It is interesting to see the chainers looking down on the trainers it's like this whole casual sub culture thing.
