    I think it's weird that the train is handing things to people on a silver platter, but the chain, which is about as engaging and involved as playing Crusaders of Light, a game that literally plays itself, is somehow the new gold standard of good gameplay. Like, cool, I'm not technically AFK when chaining, but I basically just play with one hand while I use the other to prop my head up and either watch Hulu or am so mentally disengaged from the game I'm not even really consciously aware of it.

    Don’t understand why they did this, pagos was more how I imagined eureka being played. Now it’s just back to the train.

    Were you fighting Anubys? Those are known to have a really high mutation rate and are pretty great for light farming and xp while waiting for a NM to spawn.

    If you find enough people who enjoy playing Eureka the way you imagined it - by chaining mobs til your hands bleed - you can still do that and play the content exactly the way you want(ed) to.

    ...however if you dont find enough people to do that, there is your answer: People had/have no fun playing it that way and since this is a game that we're p(l)aying for fun, they better make sure to deliver content that fits that brief.

    If you dont wanna do the train, dont do the train. The chaining-option isnt going away.
    I understand someone enjoying this - or any - content in a different way. What I dont understand are people who dislike multiple options to achieve something and therefor making the content appeal to more people.

    Oh I don't disagree with you. Reality is, however, there's not much that they can do unless they come to terms that:

    * It doesn't have to be a time sink to be "casual".
    * It doesn't have to be the same ideas from the past to come off repetitive
    * It doesn't have to compete with anything if it already has its own "patch cycle".

    So, were back to Anemos part 2 now. Imma wait when the 3rd installment becomes Anemos part 3.

    If you want in and out of Pagos, quickly, then chain NM mobs instead of following a train. You will get much more light and exp then if you simply waited for a particular NM to spawn. If you need to focus on light more than crystals, then focus on other mobs. Up until this point, no one cared which mobs you were fighting, once an NM spawned.

    Trains do not increase the rate of NMs, since half the train AFKs and people then aren't focusing on spawning NMs around the map. For the most part, people wait for others to show up before pulling, unlike Anemos. There were exceptions, but those were in the minority. If there was a map wide train, that could revert back.

    I think if SE focused more on how to not make the kill chains so immensely repetitive, it would have been better. This seems like a easy quick fix. But they didn't make the content more enjoyable imo..

    How about they give level 35 3 times light from NMs like how there giving ones below 35 3 times the exp. from them. Train is even making Pagos worse now. Now no one wants to help spawn louhi anymore but just spawn low level nms. Another thing train doesn't wait for others to get there that's trying to spawn other nm's. Good luck getting your weapon since train doesn't care about louhi might take you to 2020 to get first weapon. they should just increased crystals and light you got from nms and chains. 4.4 will be out in just over month with another eureka area in it.

    Because the majority of the community didn't like or do it, including the JP playerbase. If the numbers are too low, which apparently they were, they were forced to do adjustments. You may not like it, but apparently the community wants the train and all its social nature over chain grinding without being able to talk or have any social interaction.
