Calling it a replica kind of bugs me though, It's a good idea because it would seperate people who got the old version from people who have the new one, but I feel like "Just slap replica on it and it's k" is setting a far worse precedent than people thinking SE putting a raid reward as a seasonal reward mean no raid rewards are sacred anymore and we'll see UwU handed out for free in 5 years.

But if slapping "Replica" on to the item name makes it okay then boy oh boy I wanna get me some replica feast rewards and a replica dalamud horn!

People are acting like everything the devs say is set in stone and will never change. You're forgetting that it's their house, and their rules. It's their game, their property.

And if you change your opinion that much (be it housing, the exclusive stuff and more) then its getting harder to believe them. I honestly lost my good will to believe words they said after them changing their opinion on important parts (as a house owner this timer is just horrible for example) too often. The same with all the overhyping of certain features ("never seen before in our MMO") that turn out to be okay but nothing outstanding. Fool me once and I might still trust you, but fool me twice (and more) and I wont.

I'm pretty sure if this option were feasible to do, then they probably would have been working on it. Doesn't take much of a genius to know that storing personal housing as instanced housing on their current system would probably lead to a lot of difficulties with the instance servers (assuming that's how they roll). In this case you'd have each separate personal house acting as a separate instance, and we've all seen the results of instance overflow with Raubahn now aggregate this issue to have more instances up, with just as many variables, always online. It would take dramatic resources to set up, and even more resources to maintain such a system. So easy fix, or feasible fix? Most servers have a plethora of housing available to players, so their fix evidently worked. To even make instanced housing viable, it'd probably require significant dumbing down of choices with housing objects, and potentially fixed placement of objects, removing pretty much all levels of creativity. But derails.

But it would make sense in the "lore". The idea of the rising is a celebration of the calamity, and as part of the celebration you are given an item that came from the center of the calamity. It would make more sense if replicas of this "famous" item were being mass produced to celebrate the event. It might be uninteresting, but replica makes sense.

Seeing this thread reach 52 pages of people complaining that someone else gets to share their shiny toys has just conceived me that I need to plan an outfit around these damn earrings.

I'm tempted to do the same just as a gesture akin to pulling my bottom eyelid down and sticking my tongue out. I'd have just otherwise thrown the earrings into my armoire and let those who knew better tout them around 'proudly.' Now I just want to be a thorn in their sides just out of spite.

Funny that even PvE players suddenly don't want to share their exclusives with other PvE players (but expect so for PvP rewards). A bit hypocrite don't you think?

You'd then have an outcry for people to release previously exclusive items as replicas, and many other difficult items to obtain. It's fine, just slap the word replica on it.

We already have many replica items in the game as it is. Some "better" than the originals even.
So it's not like they haven't done it before, yet for whatever reason they don't want to do it now.

We are suggesting changes to an event item, not solving for free will.

Because this adjust doesn't fix every problem ever in the game is no reason not to do it.

I'm wondering why it matters when the game those things are from is DEAD, it no longer lives and NOONE can play it again. So comparing it to anything we have NOW is stupid. You can STILL play XIV pvp, still do UwU, still do whatever in XIV. 1.0 is GONE so does it REALLY matter what they do? Thats like me crying someone can play Sonic CD on their phone. " CRY! you suck sega for releasing that game for other people to play on phones when I had to buy a Sega CD for it." It sounds stupid.
