I'm beyond words that people on these forums are comparing pixels in a game with stolen valor. Wow.
Get over yourselves.

Does it really matter that much to you if even 1.0/Legacy players who never did the HM fight get something that has been rendered into nothing more than a cosmetic item? You have a title to prove you did a fight that no one can ever do (be it normal or HM, you have something to prove you did the Nael van Darnus fight. If you recorded the HM fight and uploaded the video, more proof for you), you have an exclusive chocobo mount, an exclusive tattoo, your name in the credits and best of all, something that I would absolutely love to have, a subscription discount.Yes, but how do you now distinguish the ones that people got from clearing the fight from the event reward ones? You can't. The Ultimate fight clear groups can by slapping on their title, we just have that earring as our title. Or we did, until this. Until this, there would be no doubt you cleared the fight to get them because there was no other way to get them, now that way of proving it will be gone.
Honestly, I feel the people who should really complain are those who worked on their Relic. From what I can recall, making that weapon was a nightmare in 1.0 and then 2.0 comes along and almost hands it out like candy (Titan HM was a pretty rough roadblock).
Well would you look at that proof you cleared the fight, and proof that others will have cleared the fight.Someone showed me this on twitter:
There IS NOT an achievement for beating Rivenroad (Hard). You CAN however see the timestamp via lodestone under "Legacy - Sixth Astral Era".
I don't believe there is any way to confirm this strictly via game client though (I have not confirmed). And the person would have to have achievements set to public on lodestone for it to be visible but it seems it is at least documented.
Uh, where's the title to put over my character model in-game then? I am not aware of one.Does it really matter that much to you if even 1.0/Legacy players who never did the fight get something that has been rendered into nothing more than a cosmetic item? Just put "Once in a Lifetime" over your head and then direct players to your achievement page on your Lodestone if it matters that much to you.
"Kya Purrcy has earned a place in the annals of history by besting Nael deus Darnus (Hard)."
That's an achievement, no title came with it that I ever found.

Considering (hard) trials today i wouldn't call it much of a achievement for clearing it.
Well, you didn't play back then, so you have no experience with the way things worked and how hard they felt getting done, so that's understandable. I believe this is getting off the topic in this thread though.
The point is that you actually can prove you have done the fight. That's an achievement, no title came with it that I ever found.

Yoshi-P is on a horrible idea streak that is severely bogging this game down. I have never been more disappointed in the game and it is really quite sad.
