White Mage ~ Sage ~ AstrologianBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.

Thank you for your response Mr.Yoshida and the apology. I have some comments in regard to your statement. If more players became more vocal about wanting a true legacy sever and / or releasing the source code, and releasing the original story regardless if it was in shambles as you have suggested would that be enough “incentive” for your company to do so? Since we are throwing everything up on mogstation for cash how about we give that a try and see if that incentive grows a bit when cash is involved. Thank you for your timeHello, everyone. This is FFXIV Producer and Director, Naoki Yoshida.
I've responded by explaining that the story for FFXIV's previous incarnation was, to be completely honest, a shambles. The original main scenario was abandoned─using the shaky servers and systems available, I took the Grand Company scenario and forcibly reshaped it to become the main thrust of the story. It was the sense of impending calamity and expectations for rebirth that made it come alive, which is not something that can necessarily be reproduced. The excitement also came from the legacy players themselves─the sense of community and support which arose from that shared experience.
We've also had requests for a "legacy server," if only a temporary one. Those servers have long been dismantled, and although the source code has been preserved, there is little incentive for us to restore them (some of those servers have, in fact, been repurposed to generate your character images that you see displayed on the Lodestone.)
Others have asked for the story alone to be told on a DVD or in a book, but as I've already mentioned, the plot was plagued with issues, and as I took the liberty of ignoring certain points of lore, it suffers from numerous inconsistencies. I think it's fair to say that it worked precisely because─as the rebirth was described at its unveiling─it was a "once-in-a-lifetime experience" that marked the end of an era.![]()
That's a excellent idea! I'd totally buy that!Thank you for your response Mr.Yoshida and the apology. I have some comments in regard to your statement. Honestly, what probably would've been an better idea on the Rising event:
1) Fate as it is for the Rising event - gives an REPLICA Manderville earring as a reward when you have enough tickets to buy it from the same vendor.
2) White Raven event - bring it back in a way that makes it FFXIV ARR/SB able, similar to the Bard telling the tale of said fight from the Calamity and its adventurers. Make it a trial or something or instance (non trial). Use the tickets you gain from that fight for the REPLICA White Raven earring.
I think if they had gone that route, would've been a different story or not as bad an issue. And then just put them on the mogstation a year later like they usually do (because it's a replica).

Hmmm... I was in the free trial while waiting for my physical copy to arrive when I did this quest. All I got was that pink minion and the song roll; no sign of any vouchers or earrings. I had kind of hoped they would be sent to me when my copy of the Complete Edition arrived and I upgraded my account to a full account, but nothing else came. Some parts of this game are still new to me... anything I should look for?
There's a separate instance that you have to talk to a NPC who only spawns at certain times. This instance has fates that give the tokens. You need to be level 30 to enter the instance.Hmmm... there is an NPC who spawns next to the Rising Vendor, but he isn't always there...maybe it's random? Anyway, he has you do a limited-time FATE which is like an instance where you and others fight monsters in the city. Depending on your performance, he will give you vouchers. If you get 50, you can get the earrings.Hmmm... I was in the free trial while waiting for my physical copy to arrive when I did this quest. "We want bunny suits for guys!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Ishgard housing!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Viera!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Cloud's motorcycle!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Blue Mage!"-- OK! ✅
"We want the ability to earn past Feast rewards!" - OK! ✅ to armor
"... and mounts?
Good to see people never change and still get upset about the stupidest stuff.
If you need some dumb earring to make you feel special about your 1.0 experience instead of the memories than you obviously do not have your priorities in order.

Congratulations on bumping the thread again to rehash the same tired argument that has been refuted dozens of times by now?
Cookies are next to the door, help yourself.
But are those 1.0 cookies or replica cookies? If they're 1.0 legacy cookies how dare they!? Only Legacy players should have them!
