You can go into ultimate right now and get the title and weapons but you can't with 1.0 because it's long dead and we aren't playing that game anymore. 5 year anniversary not the 8.

What status though? Seriously. The people that speak out in such a way have has their status diminished. I'd be fine with making it a challenge to obtain the earrings, but playing a game at an earlier time is no indication of skill. However, it looks as though SE decided against that. That's their choice.

It wasn't a freebie that all legacy players got though. You had to clear a pretty hard fight to get them.

My main issue with this is that they billed it as a limited time thing. So if the event just hands these out they pretty much went back on what they said.

I'm well aware, but who is to say that later players were not capable of such feats, because they subbed at a later time?

Really? You're going to diminish our efforts and trophies of a bygone era that we worked so hard to obtain by giving them out as rewards? That diminishes entirely, the effort we went through to clear Nael deus Darnus HM and takes away the accomplishment and achievement of clearing what was the hardest fight in 1.0. Shame on you SE. I have worn those proudly as a show of my support I had for 1.0 as my earring glamour this entire time and I've never stopped playing, and now you're going to trash that. Have you guys forgotten this? How can I proudly wear these as glamour if you're just going to give them out as event rewards willy nilly? That's just crapping all over something that was 1.0 exclusive, and should remain 1.0 exclusive. How can ppl be impressed by them if they're just event item rewards now? I worked so hard to get that fight cleared and now you've dumped all over that accomplishment. GJ, SE. I am very upset now. This is worse than Goobbues for the Sylphs.
It's not a sense of entitlement, it's a trophy for those of us who got that fight cleared in that era, and items from achieving things in those days should stay there.

Those earrings were from accomplishing the hardest fight in 1.0 and completing the final Hildebrand quest of 1.0 and should remain so. Don't trash us 1.0ers after all the support we gave you buy dumping all over our accomplishments of that time.
Why not dump on us further by handing out the Dalamud Horn so that ppl who never did the quest in 1.0 can have that too?

The design is cool and I've wanted it ever since I joined in 2.1. But I wouldn't want to take away the achievement for those who earned it... it would be like making the exact UwU weapons available from the Achievement Point vendor five years from now. Yeah there probably aren't enough people left from that time to worry about the PR/sub loss by angering them, but shouldn't you try to do right by your most dedicated fans when you have the opportunity?

Actually, a replica would be fine imo. its the item itself thats the problem. Same with the goobbue mount. The one you were able to get in 1.0 is different than the current one, so its not a problem.

I also didnt have a problem with the crafted relic skins, as the look slightly different.

The issue here isn't that an item from 1.0 is available, its that the item for beating basically the ultimate mode of the final boss of 1.0 is being given away for an easy event.

Item name and item text are not the same things.

I mean in the sense that if they made a replica of the white ravens, were called "Replica White Ravens", and had a slightly different color scheme, it would be fine.
