    Question About Security Question/Answer

    Hi! I hope I'm posting this in the right forum?

    To get to the point, I logged into my brother's FFXIV account on my ps4 to help him out with some stuff, but I forgot to buy a token and now his account is temporarily on hold.

    They sent an e-mail and pretty much has to reset his password.

    The problem is his security question/answer. He was sure he knew the question and answer, but it says it wasn't what he used when he registered.

    My question is, can we get locked out if we answer the question wrong again? He is certain on the question, but the annswer is iffy and we're afraid if we answer it wrong again he'll be locked out till we call customer support on Monday.

    Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

    The best way to know is to try, no? Only three outcomes will happen.
    1, Try and fail, get locked out and you wait until Monday when they're open. Not like you're any worse off.
    2, Try and fail, don't get locked from answering again. Keep trying.
    3, Try and succeed. Everyone's happy!

    There's very little harm in simply just trying again.

    The system shouldn't lock you out and, as the above poster has mentioned, you would be in the same position anyway. To recover your security answers, you will need to contact the Square Enix Support Center. .
