I can't imagine how they would do the first without the second, otherwise you're going to have mismatches like a Roe named Fluffy Catniplover.

They already said they'll consider name change but nothing fully confirmed since already allowing character recreation due to engine changes was enough since the only reason we can is because of added features of the new engine.
