Please keep us updated on your issue, look forward to assisting you.Hi Ein. Thanks for replying. The laptop is within the normal temp ranges indicated by the manufacturer, and it has the fans set to the "Cooler Boost" (which apparently is the max setting) alongside with a cooling pad.
I will try the suggestion, and will update you after a day.
Thank you for playing Final Fantasy XIV! Hope to see you online.
So I did try the suggestion and it looked as if the game's stable as the crash did not happen when playing on the overlord (normal gameplay that doesn't involve duties, dungeons, trials etc..) I did however encounter the issue twice during a run of Sigmascape 2(Savage) in rapid succession(that is, relogging into the game had me run into the issue again). After the two freeze into crash, the issue does not happen again on the third run.
This was with the BGM turned off. I do suspect that the BGM has something to do with how stable the game is, and so I will try testing with the BGM on and report the findings after a day.
I will keep you posted.
EDIT: So far no crashes when BGM is on, though I have not tested in any Savage raids. I have done all Duties, Ifrit Hard Trial and a few singular dungeon runs and I have not come across the issue.
EDIT2: Ok, so I'm pretty sure the Rising Event is a decent sandbox for testing the issue. I have not gotten the issue. I think this issue is solved, but if it's not I can just open another thread.
