BLM in Savage / Ultimate Content

Hi everyone. I am playing BLM for a long while now. I don't struggle in casual content at all, but for ex primals i always used my healers till now, because i was a healer main. But along with 4.4, i wanna main BLM, just simply because i really like it. Though i get really nervous about BLM's position in parties and its overall performance in savage content.

If anyone did savage content as BLM, can you enlighten me if it is good or not? Or if i join ex/savage pf parties, would i be kicked?

I know BLM is in a nice place right now since buffs but i am concerned. Thanks to anyone who shares their opinions here.

The learning phase can be painful. Sometimes it can feel like the content has been designed specifically to make you feel miserable. However, once you get the hang of things and learn the BLM dance for the fight(s), it's awesome.

Edit: Can't say much about PF's, I've usually gone with friends or started my own group. I think I've joined maybe two or three PF groups, no kicks. Anecdotal evidence FTW.

It's fun if you're comfortable with blm, and are good at slide casting. Savage is honestly no issue at all. UCoB is a bit of a nightmare, but UwU is pretty comfortable for blm.

Getting into savage groups isn't really too difficult. Some groups can be a little bit of a pain, but it hasn't been much of an issue lately. Just remember as a blm, your only job is to be top damage. You have nearly zero utility, so if you're under performing, people will notice you first.

You should be fine though. Ensure you're comfortable with the proper rotation and opener. And don't clip ogcds. The most minimal of rotational and uptime improvements are much more noticeable on blm output compared to other jobs, so be sure to optimize positioning properly, and get 6 f4s in every AF cycle.

pugs will have much less patience with blm learning a fight..., and with a static you can optimise a lot more (besides having static members being in predictable postitons for aethermanipulation/teleporting)

It's really not that bad to learn as blm on fights though. There's safe methods you can crutch an extra f1 on AF cycles while you're learning fights.

learning with pugs 4S 8S or any Ult. fight can be tedious as Blm for a few reasons,.. doesnt have to be, but happens.., way more than when farming with pugs or learning with a static
(blm placement / positioning depends sometimes on the other players, where he tank pulls the boss or adds, how soon orher players move so you can teleport, will they force mechanics on you , will they move to you or make you move, bait aoes in your LL, force you to LB3 instead of the other ranged etc..; even when you learnt a fight, doing it with pugs wont always bring out the best of blm)

even if the mentioned placement issues effect all classes, it affects blm the most
