PSA/ALERT: Houses are getting demolished when they shouldn't. SE needs to see this!

They did, but they didn't do it until about a month or so after they hit. It took a lot of begging by the community to finally get SE to do something.

You have to remember two things:

• Unlike the Japan disasters, SE is not based in the area affected so the people who make these kinds of decisions would have no first-hand knowledge of the situation.
• People on these forums constantly complain about anything and everything.

Honestly, part of me isn't surprised that the mods seem rather desensitized to all the request/complaint posts on here given how the forums are endlessly awash in them. It obviously takes a while for anything to get their attention and probably even longer than that to work its way up SE's chain of command and then even longer than that while they verify how desperate the situation really is.

I run a housing discord on Balmung with a few hundred members. I'm having everyone check their demolition timers, and so far only one person had something and that was on them (they thought using the garden counted to reset the timer, they were wrong.) However, that does not mean houses are not disappearing. I'm currently working to compile information on the bug from those affected. If anyone who has a demolition timer while being inside the house, or anyone who lost their house, could please join? I would very much appreciate it. Of course, anyone who wants to join the community and help us track the bug are welcome even if they are not affected.

Thank you for doing this, and please keep us updated. While I doubt anyone would have sights on our FC goblet house, I do have a brimming heart medium and my friend and I share a Shiro #8 and both of those are quite coveted. I'd die if we lost our Shiro house.

Hmm I thought they disabled all auto demolition timers. I know in California the Mendicino Complex wildfire is the worst in State history. 328,000 acres burned, 139 homes destroyed, and 11 deaths so far. And it isn't even the only major wildfire going on right now. There are fires all over right now and Air quality is god awful and people with respiratory issues are having to go into hospitals, ect. One of my friends with asthma can't leave their house because of the air quality. Yosemite National Park is closed indefinitely because of fires near it. Feels like the whole State is burning right now.

They did not disable all timers. they are only disabled on elemental, gaia, and mana data centers.

The first thing I did after reading this was log on and check my house. This is really concerning. I can't imagine all of a sudden losing my house that I worked so hard for!

I really hope this gets addressed as soon as possible, it would be nice to have housing demo suspended until it is addressed.

More and more cases of people losing their house seem to be popping up now. They need to stop the demo timer today. It ridiculous.

Is it a case of people being in their houses, or just going to the house? I've seen threads on reddit where people complained they lost their houses, but really all they were doing was teleporting to the estate, not going inside.

If there's actually an issue of people legitimately losing housing they were in and there was no demo timer on, it needs to be fixed. If its people not understanding how demo works, and having old email addresses tied to their accounts, thats not SE's fault.
