This also is another annoying thing about the demolition timer...why oh why does it not say the name of the house that is up for Demo so you know which freaking house is being hit.....
i dont have experience this but i did experience being kicked out of my own fc due to leader transit and my inactivity. the new leader never went into the house (also kicked every single person...) and i got the email notification about the demolishing. so there are things wrong in every end in housing-demolishing-emails-etc. i can, show a screenshot of a GM coming to my (old) fc house to comfort me about what happened (the kick-from my old fc).
still has some txt about it. hope this will shut up some people claiming 'everything is fine and dandy' bc its not and its not like for years now (this SS is 2 years old)
Whelp, checked my small house today and no timer. But lordy, if I lose it I will be ... losing it.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you all.
I stopped my demolish timer today completely by accident, apparently I had 8 days until demolition, yet there is no email in my inbox. :thumbsup:
Is the timer right (you haven't been in the house) or did it just suddenly say you have a timer even though you have gone inside before?
The timer was right to my knowledge, I know I haven't entered my house in a while, it was a shared tenant (who does use the house regularly) who notified me that the countdown was in progress. Thought I'd throw my comment in here as it seems no email warnings seem to be the standard, which needs to change, as well as allowing tenants to reset the timer.
my tenant actually made my private house not demolished so idk if i had a 'good bug' there when i was inactive for 3months. happy it worked out that way <_<;
Hi!
Posting in this thread because I'd like to hear an official response. I know my spouse and I are going to stay logged in while in our houses to hopefully avoid this issue. We both got our dream houses, and would be devastated if we lost them.
Already worried about losing them if we have to evacuate from the fires, would rather not lose them to random timers!
I'll agree with you on the tenants part, but I think calling the email bug "standard" is a bit of an exaggeration.
It's certainly a widespread, ongoing problem that SE really ought to get off their collective butt and fix, but it's not like the people it actually works for have any reason to come online and post about it. It's going to skew the appearances of the number of people who don't get them verses the ones who do. I've never not had the emails reach me, and there have been several occasions over the years where the house or FC house I owned at the time has been close to demo.
