I don't really feel the need to defend things I didn't say, so... I won't! I will, however, caution you not to fall prey to over-generalizations. There are actually a number of well-stated, constructive posts here by people who oppose OP or even simply don't like RP. The reason not many replied to them is because.... Well, they were well-stated, constructive posts that stood on their own. Don't be so eager to paint with the broad brush of intolerance when vitriol's been spewed across the board both directions yet a small, respectful handful advances the discussion largely free from harassment. I actually sort of wish I could count myself among their number.

I admit my methods are harsh and controversial, but I'm not out to attack people here. Just arguments and mindsets that don't hold up well under the harsh light of scrutiny. I acknowledge that in turn, I subject myself to the same and am challenged to see if I can remain standing. Whether I still am or not is a judgement best left to the folks reading along.

No ones asking you to agree with my stance on RPers and/or a RP sever. As a matter of fact, I would be willing to bet you are totally ignorent as to what my stance is on the subject. When I did get angree I specifically listed the name of the 5 people who didn't read all of my post and bunched me up in a stereotypical manner with some RP haters.

Why are you still complaining? we get it, you feel you were treated unfair. We don't need 20 posts on it before you feel acknowledged. We didn't get a sever, no dev cared enough to look at this post and i do blame it on the flamers because its awfully hard to see the subject between the large rants of how we are attention mongers. Don't know about you guys, but even if SE doesn't plan for us to have a server now, I'd still like them to reply to this thread and tell me so, at the very least, and say something about 2.0 at least.

GamerEscape: You told Famitsu that you are thinking about making new servers focused on different languages. Are there any plans to designate roleplay servers? I know the players on Besaid would love to be officially recognized as an RP server.

Yoshida: We do recognize a need to set up a designated roleplaying world. We will look into this in a proactive manner!

I think in the year 2012, with all the positive points that were brought up about designating an RP friendly server, with every other MMO that I can think of having RP servers, with this thread having 276 posts as of this one... as valued customers of this game, we earned a response.
