You did it, you wanted to make a section of the game like FFXI, well you've done it in spades. Pagos, is super unfriendly between groups, has resource competition, and an exhaustively long grind that is mindless and leaves you feeling unaccomplished after hours with no discernible progress.

Now that you've accomplished this long time goal, can you point us in the direction of SE approved combat bots that are so prevalent in FFXI. I mean you want the full experience right, we need some bots to do the grinding for us, like FFXI players do.

It seems like you hate FFXI more than Pagos. I don't like Pagos either but FFXI doesn't deserve to be compared to it, FFXI did a lot of things right that SE chose not to learn from, like adding level sync so you can exp with friends.

And you probably didn't need to make a whole new thread for this.

They already exist, pathetically enough.

Some members of my server's resident bot farming circle have been partied together and farming same level mobs in there for the past three days or so.

The EXP curve is going to catch up with them sooner or later, though, because grinding same level mobs in a party for 300ish EXP a kill isn't going to cut it in the 30+ range, not to mention they'll need to start moving past the dragons.

Eureka and Pagos in particular are clearly trying to be similar to FFXI, but the problem is they took all the worst parts of FFXI and didn't include any of the good parts.

Pagos is nothing like XI. I hate when people compare XI to Pagos or Eureka overall.

Yeah FFXI was much worse especially in its early days.

I remember leveling first job in FFXI being a dps around 55 on a lower population server and it could literally take a week to even get a party and even then you would be lucky to even get a level out of the party most of the time.

Compared to that Eureka is nothing.

Agreed. There was a reason it took literally year(s) to get your first job to Lv75.

There's a place for FFXI content, the clue is in the game title.
Get rid of this complete brainless grind from XIV devs. You are dragging it down to the basement level of a ftp button masher.
