    Is this why Pagos was delayed?

    Honestly I wouldn't be surprised. It really wouldn't surprise me if they delayed Pagos' release so they could tune the NM rates, trash mobs HP, lockbox rate, and code in those roadblocking dragons.

    All because players found a way to enjoy a piece of content in a way the dev team didn't anticipate, nor approve of. Anemos had / has it's faults, yes. But when the community comes together and devises a way to enjoy a piece of content, and inject a level of social interaction this game sorely lacks, and in my opinion would be better off with more of, you slap the collective wrists of the players like kids who got caught stealing extra cookies from the cookie jar, and now you've placed the cookie jar on a higher shelf we can't reach as easily.

    Part of it might have been the "fixes" they made that turned the experience sour for many. Part of it is also because they need to spread content out so people will stay subbed and give them more money.

    You see...

    At this present time, I am of the opinion that SE cares more about our sub money (and Mogstation cash shop money) than actually providing a game that we like. At this point it would take a hell of an action (eg., overhaul on a massive scale they can no longer afford) to move me from this opinion. I stand firmly in hating Eureka, even when I enjoyed spending time with people in Anemos. I will do so for a long, long time, yet.

    I would suggest what they have done will have the opposite effect of people staying subbed :-)

    The delay was because of the Devs first holidays since 2.0 release.

    Majorly, yes, but not solely. I'd like to say "give it time and we'll start seeing shoutchat memes akin to the 'is pazuzu up?'," but I'm not certain with the current iteration that that'll happen, and if it does, it won't be as welcoming.

    It's been said before, and I've even echoed the sentiment. Anemos is a chore, boring, and an annoying grind up until you can contribute to the train. That's my personal belief, and I enjoyed being able to go into an instance at ~elvl 14, ride the train out, ping mods that were within my level, and be able to do decent amounts of damage to the NM. Then, after say 4-6 NM's downed, I would gain a level. Say my farewells, and leave the instance before a full lockout even elapsed.

    And honestly, I didn't mind when the AFK players would sit on the sidelines and use the then-current cheer lightstick emotes. Jokes were made, banter was had, conversations happened. If I wanted to chat up people / eavesdrop on others I'd either have to hope I got lucky and had communicative people in a roulette, mindlessly sit in limsa/whatever the end-game hub town was, or some other outlet that I had to go out of my way to find. Anemos it just happened naturally, and it really made all the difference.

    Now? Everyone's too busy being hyper-focused on their chain, or acting poorly because of a near instance-wide wipe. In the first week. This happened in Anemos too, mind you, but I can't recall that that level of vitriol would ever happen. People were too busy analyzing why they died and sharing their findings. "Well, it looks like to spawn Paz we need to do X, Y, and Z." "Paz does X', Y', and Z'." "Lol, we all wiped to Hazmat/fafnir/poly." and so on.

    I'm willing to give the devs time to, I'd hope, listen to player feedback, and adjust the content so as to make it worth doing.

    Well, our opinion differ here, cause I find FATE train to be the absolute worst content they could have made. I hated it in ATMA, I hated it when hunt came out, for Diadem and still do now.
    I like NM, I like group content and I like chatting with my party. But this, this is just not fun.

    Make the NM group exclusive, or Alliance exclusive. Then I'll be happy.

    I'd add to that. With the train, a lot of players would have no option but to AFK. Why? Because it would be detrimental to split into too many trains, so it's inevitable that all trains will kill the adds before more can spawn. And then only so many people could hit the adds before they died. A lot of people like to tell AFKers to go spawn other NMs, but then they'd complain when that NM spawned and they were a map away, killing another NM, so people just stayed AFKing. But unlike most content in the game, so long as not everyone in the instance did it, it was a victimless crime.
