I made a suggestion about this a while back - there's a lot of "interaction" on items that isn't actually gameplay related - wallpaper, paintings, aquariums, flowers, etc. There should be a separate menu, like the colour menu, to deal with this.
Honestly, the interactive items issue wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so random. Items will vanish under your feet rather than have the interactive item 10 feet away vanish, it makes no sense. I'll have items disappearing on a floor with very few interactive items simply because a lower floor in the house has a lot of them. I feel like fixing that would remove some of the frustrations.
There still needs to be a way to make things like food items and flower vases just set in stone items. I don't care if I have to take two of the item to a vendor to combine them into a singular non-interactive item. It'd be worth it just to not have this issue.
I'm trying to make a garden/greenhouse inside my estate, and just trying to have one of every flower in every color is making everything in the house act crazy, on all floors.
I will say at least, they seemed to have reduced the chances of walls vanishing, so, I'll take that at least.
EDIT: So, adding a couple move vases/putting flowers into most of the vases I had set out seems to have made my walls skittish finally, so those are starting to vanish until I'm standing right up on some of them.
