Item disappeared

I submitted this as a bug report in game then realized they don't respond to those but I kind of do need a response for this.

Anyways, I made a pair of True Linen Trousers of Striking for a friend, part of a whole set. When I was done, I put all the gear in my retainer. I should note that my bag was pretty messy, so I just clicked on all the green icons. When he was ready to get it all I again clicked on every green icon on my retainer to withdraw the items and traded them over.

The issue is, as he pointed out, the pants are missing. They don't show up in my inventory or any retainer with the item search, or in his. I have no idea when they may have gone missing - if they were never put in my bag after the craft was finished, if they disappeared in my retainer, or if they disappeared in trade, because I wasn't paying much attention to the icons.

Either way, the item is missing and nowhere to be found. I did not delete it, nor did I accidentally list them for sale or sell them to a vendor. Same for him. I realize they're not hard for me to make, but I'd like to figure out what happened to them and get them back if possible.

If they don't, you might have simply never made them in the first place. Or, accidentally had your retainer sell them instead of hold them.

Yes, I had both my friend and I do this and it did not help. They were in my crafting history as well. I definitely made them, and definitely did not sell them.

I suppose I will try in-game next.

Well I hate to tell you this but you may have flipped it from the retainer.
They can sell things like an NPC. You might not have put it up for a market board but instead had them sell the item.

I mean, I hope I'm wrong and you have your item. Good luck finding it regardless.

I put items i crafted on retainer all the time but when i do i go in kind of paranoid mode and check every step i make and put them nicely in the same page not just mindless storing them. The option to "sell item" isnt far from the option to store it
So that is what might have happened. Its worth it to reorder them so they are far apart on the list.
There are two options to sell, sell direct which has only a confirmation button and the one to put on the marketboard which requires you to enter a price. If you dont use that retainer for a lot of selling you can check sale history perhaps.

Yes, I'm very aware of all of these things, and extremely confident that I didn't vendor it, being as I'm very vigilant about this and you have to go through 2 confirmation windows to truly sell and lose an item to a retainer. It's also not in any of my sales histories.

Why am I only getting options to report Harassment, Cheating, a Bug, or to leave a Suggestion on the support desk? I'm not doing any of these things. Guess I'll use the Harassment one...

Using 'Report Harassment' will work if you need to contact a GM.
