After reading this:

There should have been someone at some point saying "Are players going to like this?" and they should be taken seriously. That they aren't isn't a good sign.

I really really just cant imagine how you guys testetd that... like, did you even get one weapon without any dev/GM cheats...?

I do not mind heavy grind, i DO mind it this late at this patch since the rewards will be replaced by crafted or new primal stuff in less then a month, or even less depending on how bad the grind actually is.

Anemos was painfull too, at first, but it wasnt this bad...

At least some daily "oh the xyz water mobs destabilize the ather, go and kill a 30/60/90 of em!" quest with some reward, a "kill 30 mobs of each element for bonus exp" or anything... it literally feels like pagos is jsut there to stall us for 4.4. Yet i do not expect logos before 4.4.35-36 either...

you do realize that by the end of the expansion the relic will be the best weapon to have (even perhaps over the final raid tier weapon)? It should last quite a while seeing as 5.0 is still a year away.

All can say about Pagos it is a total failure and waste of space. It could been something enjoyable instead they made changes that no one wanted. Just hope they replace the ones who came up with the changes. Eureka Anemos is way more fun to be in. Pretty sure they cut the exp. get from NMs and monsters along with the crystals get from the NMs. Friend told me even japanese player base is calling Pagos dumb and don't like it.

I did do a relic, though nerved, it wasnt nerved that heard yet. And i did most the Anime stuff way pre nerf, even did another one right before it was nerfed even more xD

My biggest problem is there's no party sync. I level with some FC friends and I'm already 28 but I have one other really good friend who doesn't get to play as much so they are WAY behind. I can't even play Pagos with them now because I'm to high level. Now they just don't really want to do the zone.

I would be more than fine with an optional sync down to +3 levels higher than the lowest level person in the party. I might be getting less exp over all but at least I'm not trashing my friends exp and I can help them get caught up.

Also, when 5.0 comes out people going back to get their 4.x relic will be near impossible unless they do away with the sync. I doubt they will though.

Yes, but why spent hours on a boring grind when the Pagos equivalent step will be rendered utterly meaningless in a month? I suspect that was the OP's rationale. Normally, I grind things like this because they can be relevant for the patch they release in, especially if you play multiple jobs. The SB relics seem to only have a possess at the very end of the expansion. That just makes people more willing to wait for the subsequent nerfs that come than bother grinding.
