My qualms with this game only extend to SE seemingly wanting to kill any, and all forms of apparent over-world content.

Excitement, adventure, open world.
With how people complain about clearing things cause people can't play I don't think the game should be harder. Not when we have a thread over 1k posts plus complaining about people not being able to do said -easy- content. :CMy two biggest gripes with the game is it's pointless repetition and lack of any difficulty in anything outside Savage and Ultimate.
I've been playing the game since Phase 3 of the 2.0 beta, and the game has been the same exact thing every patch and expansion. Even the MSQ feels like it's being rehashed somewhat, as a lot of the "twists" they throw at us can be speculated because it's either predictable, or they build it up in the most obvious way possible that it'd be better if they just straight up tell us the plot at that point. I don't mind if the MSQ goes on the same path, since it's one and done content, but they seriously can't keep the tome farms and weekly 24 mans going forever. I don't know what they can do, but they need to do something before the playerbase starts bleeding into other games.
As for the difficulty, this will be difficult because the game heavily leans to the casual playerbase, which is okay. But it seems that all the content that leans towards that spectrum of players are easy, faceroll content. They're sorta working on this with (the incredibly flawed) Eureka, but the actual bulk content that people do for end game progression is boring and just not engaging. I'm not asking for dungeons to be savage difficulty, but at least have some difficulty in them, same for normal trials and raids. I feel that slightly increasing the difficulty will also help close the gap for players that preform suboptimal in their roles, as the content at the moment doesn't discourage poor rotations to clear.
I have more issues with the game, but most people already mentioned them. I enjoy this game, or I wouldn't be playing it for 5 years. But I feel like it's really going downhill in terms of quality with this expansion.
Hunts were ok in ff12 IMO althought I didnt like the game much, but anyway, I do however think that hunts are wrong in this game (specially as you can\could|probably will be able to continue to bypass them for next set of tomes armors & weapons with "for example": craftable gears)

Hunts in ffxii allowed you to reach the hardest\secret boss in game which in the end gave you a feeling of accomplishment which isnt the case with hunts in this game at all. You could host a party fighting a striking dummy in the mist handing over "cool points" & it would be the same as hunts in this game & that would be yet one other wronged thing in this game.

That doesn't sound like hunts at all unless you're doing ones from previous expansions or killing a SB A rank with 40 people, which is far more than the hunt was meant for. SB S ranks do seem to have been toned down somewhat and this is an area of the game that I do think could benefit from scaling tech that Blizzard implemented in WoW beginning in Mists of Pandaria (scaling to the number of participants, not level scaling), but it's definitely not equivalent to smacking a target dummy when you're doing it at the proper level and with the proper number of participants. The fact that it isn't an exact duplicate of a previous game's iteration of the system hardly makes it a failure either.Hunts in ffxii allowed you to reach the hardest\secret boss in game which in the end gave you a feeling of accomplishment which isnt the case with hunts in this game at all. In 2.0 raids (talking about the 8 man ones) were small dungeons, in 3.0 we had a mix of 2.0 raids and trials. In 4.0 raids are trials now, no hallway, no exploring, just 1 square room with a boss infront of you. They should just rename the 8 man raids into trials.
Everyone gets mad over "early pullers", people not waiting, people resetting the targets. Hunts are the most drama inducing content in XIV besides PvP.
