The issue with DRK isn't inputs of combos per se, it's the amount of Dark Arts weaving you have to do. Basically, the CD on DA would have to go down to 1 second or less to be as fluid, and I figure that the game can't actually support the <2.00 GCD speeds that well.

Its the same with SAM for the most part. Theres a lot of oGCDs that get used.

There is nothing seriously wrong with the game. It is just the few people with issues that are screaming in forums and make things looks worse than they are in reality.

Would be nice with something new though, we playing same game we did 5 years ago. They even claimed to call battlesystem a revamp in 4.0. We got a dumbed down system for visual pleasure (was fine before) and less clutter. I'd like something different and a game that keep evolving.

Something simple like a talent tree would do a lot and every character be more unique from each other.

If you don't like it, don't play it or take a break. No reason to do negative criticism imo.

While he screwed up 1.0 he did do a good job with XI imo. I was dedicated for so many years. It is possible I'm looking through rose tinted glasses and the mindset have changed among MMO players past 15 years.

Talent tree systems, in all games I did played and implementing them, happened to be if you didn't had the "correct"/"meta"/"perfect" tree setup, you are emarginated from other players.

Yep, even in such games where the devs sold it as freedom to pick what you want from multiple pools... ESPECIALLY in those cases. Concept builds could not progress far in the game (outside of leveling, if even that). You always had to follow set structures that took away from that freedom, and turn the game into another slog where you can't even pop a squat in the woods if it's not part of your META rotation during NON-RAIDING hours. I'll pass on skill tree builds of MMOs, thanks.

That is always possible, but how is that different from today where everyone is having same stat and setup?
You saying nothing is wrong, then I assume you're fine they keep same formula for 10 more years? I think that will make the game very stale, boring and predictable.

While I have no indications to quit, I still can identify flaws and hope for something new and fresh with 5.0 and I also like many on this forum (even if Im not a frequent poster) been playing for many years. We are entitled to express our opinion like any paying customer to a service.

Talent tree is just something I see not viable here. On top of that, its brother called "stat points" have also been removed from the game (who remember them? xD) and this is a huge hint about the devs not wanting follow that direction.

No, nothing is wrong with the game. The issue was, is, and continues to be an entitled player-base that feels a Final Fantasy MMO belongs to them. That is not this game's fault.

Your complaints are not new, nor interesting. They are the same belly aching that plagued these boards 5 years ago when this game as relaunched after the abysmal failure that was Tanaka's hands-off FF XI clone. I know, I was there.

They listen, they give you content that you ask for, but it's not not what many really want. What many want are hard set bars that block others from that content. You wish to be the guardians that control how others play the game. You'll dissemble all your motivations to reach a satisfactory self delusion, but the truth still remains.
