I HATE this event. I only have melee leveled so I have no way to just cheese this so I can get the mount so I can forget this exists. (only 30 more clears to go. yay?)

Rathalos in the MH games is SO much easier to deal with imo. Heck, I'd rather fight his G rank subspecies than do more of this, but unfortunately I'm an OCD perfectionist... so... Here we are.

For starters, You have a MUCH larger area to fight him in in the MH games (though I find him much easier in mh3 onward. I hate claw controls, I can't help it.) . You also have a lot of tools at your disposal for dealing with him. The only really good thing about the event is that you can still hit him while he's flying without needing a gunner/bow user etc or flashbombs. Him flying too much is one of my biggest gripes in mh.
but here in ff14, all we get is a teeny, tiny arena where he can just stick his butt near the edge of the arena and suddenly as melee, you usually have to stop what you are doing when he goes for tail swipe number xxx because that stupid tail can't actually be cut off. Ranged and tanks have it easy. And I don't even want to think how hard this event must be to heal.

Maybe I just keep running into all the jerks these days, but most of my groups have been tanks getting hit more than me and then going all toxic on me when I get wombo combo'd to death (I still have not figured out how to see that stupid hop fireball coming. most of my deaths are from that. UGH) Having constant parties expecting people to be perfect robots is the opposite of fun, in my book. And unlike MH? YOU CAN'T JUST DO IT YOURSELF.
