... how do you even begin equating requests for more varied battle content with Lord of Verminion? The former is taking something which already works and testing it with smaller or larger party sizes and maybe more mechanical variation. The latter... is an entirely separate mode no one really asked for. Even those who did wanted a Pokemon styled combat arena, not an over-designed RTS with poor controls.
