Shor Khai was a lovely dungeon, I think my favourite is Snowcloak as I just find it so relaxing. I do really like it when we get a well integrated dungeon in the story and I've been missing them in StormbloodAs much as I complain about how easy dungeons are, I actually liked them being part of the MSQ. It broke up the monotony of “travel to X location, talk to X NPC... now go back to where you just came from and talk to another NPC... carry item A to location Y, etc.”. One of my favorites is still Sohr Khai because of how well they incorporated it into the 3.3 MSQ storyline; I never really felt like my story was being interrupted. But that’s just me.
I would be happy to see more 4 player contents of course! But this Rath ex is poorly and tremendously designed.. it’s a dodge dodge dodge fight with no specific mechanics, I find it boring and stressing at the same time and not fun at all!!
It doesn’t require and specific competence with your class but just ability to dodge the dragon attack, for healers I find it horrendous and mentally exhausting, you just esuna over and over over again. If the healer got hit or died you can basically wipe, I think soon nobody will plays as a healer anymore and party will be made of all tanks just because is easier.
They should make more 4 players contents but the kind of you are required to play your class at the best of your capabilities, for serious players, strategies to learn, high DPS checks so not cheesable mechanics, no alternative compositions.
Consider Rath Ex worst contents after Eureka.
Mentally exhausting to hit 1 or 2 buttons and dodge mechanics? Are you being serious here? Healers have it easy.
It’s so boring and I find it stressing to run back and forward like crazy and Esuna 3/4 ppl in 30 secs lol This trial is difficult ONLY for healers but at the same time not challenging at all ...
No they don't. The burden on playing well is far higher on the healer. You can cover for other people's mistakes but no one can cover for yours even half as much. If the healer gets stunlocked in an aoe with debuffs they're probably dead. If someone else does at the very least the healer can cleanse them if not heal them as well.
Yes I am aware some classes can off-heal and have a cleanse role action but it really cannot compare to how well and often a healer can tackle these things.
The best part is you don't have to memorize an entire cookbook of mechanics beforehand just to pick up and do the trial.
I'm a dumb casual but it's the #1 reason I avoid doing savage and most EX content.

To think walking a holy crusade is a terrible idea... you're right, it is. :^)

Except Rath Ex does have a an enrage. I've only seen it once (1% wipe) with a 3 tank 1 healer party but I imagine it's a non-issue outside of a combination of low dps comp, inexperience, and having an ilvl closer to the 320 entry bar.Easier but slower. Reddit has a similar thread discussing how good four Warriors are yet numerous replies highlight three DPS and a healer. Some are using Titan Egi to sub in for the tank because DPS roles kill it faster despite how strong Inner Release is. Regardless, a simple solution is to add enrages next time so you can't just bring tanks.
I would like more content like Rahtalos Ex, it something different from the current 4 man content which is mind numbing wall to wall pulls with easy Boss mechanics.

How do you unlock RAthalos Extreme? I did the regular version but there's NO extreme version in my duty finder.
Unless I'm mistaken, the same NPC has the quest that unlocks the EX version. (It might have been the Minstrel, but I'm fairly certain it was the original NPC.)
