Why mount from Rathalos EX??

Don't see why you'd be scared or unwilling to enter in that fight. It's not like the scripted fights we have thus far, so most typical XIV people struggle with it, and those from MHW generally find it easy. Personally I've hated doing extreme, for reasons which I won't discuss but I can say as my 2nd extreme this expansion, you really are missing out by not dipping your toes in it at least. Worst case scenario you can do what everyone else does - Cheeses the fight with 3 Tanks, 1 Healer, or 4 Tanks.

And those complaining, either get hard at work, or simply go back to it at a later time. It isn't like this content will vanish. It's a permanent addition. Albeit I personally do think they should've had the mount available in Normal, or Extreme mode, with normal mode requiring many more scales than extreme. Just my input though.

I sincerely wonder how people who are upset about this thought you would get the mount? From the theme of the event AND the history of mount obtainment thought XIV's content it should have been obvious that this would be an EX reward... And it should be, because putting it in normal mode would be tantamount to just handing it out, which I don't agree with. You want the shinies, you need to work for the shinies...

I'm constantly getting hit by his flying charge in normal mode even when I've definitely dodged it. I don't know if it's latency or something goofy about the animation/hitbox, but it's making me feel like I probably couldn't do the EX version.

While it could be latency, with all of his attacks you need to move well before he goes after you. its alot like mh in that way. you most definitely can do the EX version. stay at/near his left flank in phase one, his butt phase 2. its hard to do, but it is effective at dodging most attacks.

There is no reason to be scared of any ex fight in this game. Join a learning party and learn the fight. That's all there is to it. We all started from 0 at some point and had to learn the mechanics and we all failed at some point and we all died. Just try until you know what to do. And if you don't like your party, just join another one.
Mounts should be something to be earned, not given to you for doing nothing. I'm sure that a lot of people who are scared of the harder fights in the game could finish them if they simply tried harder and admitted that they have to improve themselves.

I swear people would find a way to complain about a 5 second fight that requires you press only one button. FFXIV is already the easiest, most simplified, and console-ized MMO there is, so please don't try to make it even worse.

I was hype for Monster Hunter World come in ffxiv.

Enjoyed new mount. When see in-game and very disappointed.

First off, why on earth would you think it would drop from Normal? That would actually decrease the mounts overall value if everyone could just stroll into the normal mode and walk off with it afterwards. If you want something unique and special, then put in the same amount of time and effort like the rest of us please.

Secondly, where have you been for the entirety of EX trial rewards? The mounts have ALWAYS dropped from their EX versions and not the normal versions. Why should Rath EX be any different? It's an incentive to do the harder trial, it's like the doorbusters you see in department stores to snag customers through their doors right away. Furthermore, have you made previous threads where you state that the dog dropping from Tsuki EX was unfair? If not and if you say that you're perfectly okay with the standards that SE set for those, then you're being an entitled hypocrite.

This reminds me of those players who would complain that Ixion is so hard to get, as of now, when I was farming/camping him upon Stormblood's release with the Tommy Lee Jones look of "Guys...please".

I want to live in whatever world you live in. People get kicked or someone votes to disband after one wipe even in easy content. If all people were really that nice no one would be afraid to play with strangers.

But I was also disappointed that the mount is only from doing the EX version. My ilevel isn't anywhere near high enough because I deliberately don't play all the time and try to get the highest ilevel, so I can't even get in to begin with. I was looking forward to the event because I like Monster Hunter, but I was extremely disappointed that the mount is locked behind EX and there's no other way to get it.

Also: if it's supposed to be based off the way MH fights are, why are 8 and 4 people needed to do it? I solo'd all monsters up to the end of the story in MHWorld. Why can't I do that here too?

....Just get a higher ilvl then...? I mean, it's not exactly hard nor is it the game's fault that you can't give yourself the motivation or ambition to pursue a higher ilvl to get something you want. They'd never make an EX fight solo and even when we do have "solo" instances, we have NPC's to heal/help us. Aside from the NPC's, the health chunks and mechanics would have to be centered around you and NPC's and be somewhat less challenging to do simply because of the AI's limitations of being smart. A solo Rath EX would be not only pointless with the set ilvl that it is right now, but utterly devoid of challenge and substance. So, that's why it's not a solo.

Do the work and you'll get the mount.

Why do you need to be mean to this person? You and many others can just shoot offences to other telling their opinion -_- the extreme it’s pretty difficult btw and so most of ppl just go in 4 tanks compositions, Wow how fantastic lol
